Salman Khan confirms sister Arpita Khan Sharma tested COVID positive, was 'asymptomatic'

For the unversed, amid the second wave of the pandemic, Salman Khan has been actively participating in various Covid-19 relief efforts.

Superstar Salman Kham, who is geared up for the release of his much-awaited film ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’, revealed in a journalists roundtable on Monday that his sister Arpita Khan Sharma had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. 

He said that she was COVID positive but did not show any symptoms. Salman added that she is on the road to recovery and is doing well at present.  

During the interaction, Salman also revealed that while both his parents -- Salim and Salma Khan -- have got both doses of the vaccination, he is due for the second jab. He also urged citizens to get vaccinated and to take necessary precautions and stay safe while adding that the second wave of COVID is "very dangerous". 

Salman's sister, 31-year-old Arpita Khan married Ayush Sharma in the year 2014, who later debut as an actor with the 2018 film 'Loveyatri'. Ayush will be next seen in Salman Khan starter 'Antim: The Final Truth. 

Meanwhile, from restarting his food truck 'Being Haangryy' amid the second wave of COVID-19, providing monetary help to daily wage earners of the film industry to pledging to donate revenue of his upcoming film 'Radhe' for COVID relief work, Salman Khan has been making consistent efforts to come forward and help those in need in this hour of crisis. 

On a related note, three days ahead of the movie's release, makers of 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' released another song, 'Zoom Zoom' on Monday. 

'Zoom Zoom 'is a romantic dance number with fun imbued in it. The song has remarkable groovy beats to it and displays the light-hearted chemistry of Salman and Disha all through the length of the song. The song is a prologue of sorts about what we will see in the film as far as the chemistry quotient between Salman and Disha, the on-screen romantic pair is concerned.

Music to the song has been composed by Sajid Wajid, and the lyrics are of Kunaal Verma. Ash King & Iulia Vantur have given the vocals to it. Caesar Gonsalves has choreographed the song.

Alongside Salman Khan, Radhe also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The movie is presented by Salman Khan films in association with ZEE Studios, produced By Salma Khan, Sohail Khan and Reel Life Production Pvt. limited. The movie will release in over 40 countries, including a theatrical release in major overseas markets on May 13 2021, on the occasion of Eid. The film will be available on ZEE5 with ZEE's pay per view service ZEEPlex on the Zee5 OTT platform and all leading DTH operators.
