Amazing ambiance, great team delivering good service. Food was delectable even though it took longer than expected to arrive. Only complaint was the risotto which was on the dry side.

A perfect setting for a birthday breakfast. Magnificent sea views and very elegant yet comfortable setting. The service was impeccable and the range of food and beverages on offer vast. The staff personally gave my sister birthday greetings and she also received a personal cake with a birthday flourish. Loved the entire experience.

amazing views of sunset over beach. Cocktails were great and service impeccable. Fab cake was delightful and steak was cooked perfectly with best flavour meat I have had on the island.

It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious - it was fresh, tasted clean and well prepped plus had an abundance of subtle flavours. The service was polite, efficient and the most professional we have experienced on the island. Timothy Palmer has created an interesting menu - the head chef for the evening visited our table when we had finished. A nice touch to round everything off. Good value, great food well presented and well served and a wonderful dining location. Well done guys!

Food was good with the exception of the salty risotto that came with the fish of the day. We got there at 6pm for a 630 reservation and wanted to have a drink at the bar first. They sat us and we waited 20 minutes before someone even came over. Finally our table was ready and they gave our drinks on the house for the very long wait.

To be fair, this isn't a review of Palm terrace as although we booked this, this restaurant was closed when we got there, even though we had confirmation for our booking. The alternative restaurant Taburo was luck lustre, food was underwhelming & service was robotic, probably does it’s primary job of servicing hotel guests at lunch time but is definitely not doing its job to wow its customers come evening. Glad we were not staying at the hotel!

One of the best meals we have had on the island. It was our honeymoon and they made such a lovely effort and went above and beyond. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. Would recommend to anyone

What a wonderful evening we had. The wait staff were very attentive, the food was delicious and wow what a view we had from our table. The cocktails and drinks were very good too. Lovely relaxed classy atmosphere. Better than a more famous restaurant up the road from here. We will return!

We were so so disappointed We’ve ate a lot of restaurants in Barbados Lone Star,CIN CIN,Champers we even got married at The Cliff & had our wedding reception there with 20 guests We had heard good reviews from The Fairmount So we booked for Christmas Day night The restaurant is beautiful however we were seated at 7pm Still hadn’t had our order taken by 8pm No water or wine on our table just our finished g&ts & my sons empty sprite bottle..... Order taken when I politely mentioned it..... Starters came at 9 No wine or water top up...... By 9.30 still not had our main course Got our main course,asked for salt & pepper & was delivered sachets (The type you get delivered in Chefette) Still empty glasses on the table I was so upset & we were about to walk out The staff insisted we stay (They were very polite,just out of their depth despite the restaurant being half empty) The food when it came was ok but not hot.... When we left at 10.15 our empty glasses were still there including our sons sprite bottle Not what you would expect from a 5* establishment with a cost of $265 per head So disappointed

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Palm Terrace. We were absolutely blown away by the service, the friendliness, the variety of food and the wonderful hospitality. At first we were going to leave because we didn't expect buffet dinner, but we are so glad we stayed. The hostess took her time to explain the menu to us and that made a difference.

The food was delicious from the amuse bouche through to dessert. The service was nothing short of appalling from the moment we walked into and had to wait while the only other customer was seated. We asked if there was time for my husband to go back to the room to get something and assured yes. Within minutes our meals were delivered. I asked to speak to someone. After a few minutes someone arrived. When I said he was away it took them 5 minutes to bring one cover (as opposed to bringing it back to the kitchen) and then surprised by the notion that maybe I should have one too as I was not about to go ahead. By that time my husband had come back. It was clear we were not happy but absolutely nothing was done -- not even an apology. The evening capped off with having to ask for the bill after a long wait and then after another long wait and trying to get anyone's attention to having to bring my bill to the bar to get change. If they could get the service piece pinned down it could be 5s all around.

You cannot beat the scenic views and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore! Unfortunately, that is where the beauty ends. We made a reservation through OpenTable for 6:30 pm on Christmas Day 2016. We arrived on time for our reservation only to be told that they don't open until 7:00. Thankfully, the resort had another restaurant/bar so we were able to enjoy a drink there. At 7:00 we went to check in for our reservation. They took us to our table but then informed us that the buffet would not open until 7:30. As there was no A La Carte menu that night, we had no choice but to sit and wait. Once the buffet opened, it was apparent that some of the food had already been sitting out for quite some time as some of the dishes were no longer warm. The lobster was so overcooked that is was not even edible. At this point we just wanted to finish our meal and get out of there. The restaurant was about half full and there were numerous wait staff, but getting the attention of any of them was another story. Once we finally got someone to bring us our check, we were completely amazed at the price. The description on OpenTable says $30 and under. Since it was Christmas Day, we assumed the prices would be higher but we did not expect the bill to be US$190 per person (including only one bottle of wine). Needless to say, we were beyond dissatisfied and would not recommend this place!
