A Russian community in Geneva, which has been there for years built this beautiful church in the Russian Orthodox style. It stands out amongst other buildings and is worth a visit.

Very welcoming, respectable & holy. We arrived for the service and the devotion the has been poured into this beautiful building to show Christ love is incredibly moving. Its advisable for ladies to cover their hair, out of respect although I'm not sure if this is a requirement. We enjoyed our visit here & I would return again.
Photos were not allowed inside the church, so I have nothing to show, but I was intrigued to see a priest facing forward, away from people, chanting from a book, while three women stood behind him, making a sign of the cross. I wish I understood Russian to know what was happening, but it was an interesting experience.
Beautiful church tucked into a quiet neighborhood. I wish I could have attended a service. It is not far from the bus stop, but cannot be seen from the stop.
a piece of flamboyant art in te heart of town yes it's worth a visit
better a decent dress code to fully profit from a inside visit........respect traditions......
This beautiful Orthodox Church was built with the financial support from Russia. It reflects a Russian style inspired from the muscovite architecture and Byzantine art. It was consecrated in 1866 as the church for the Exaltation of the holy Cross.
Its sublime golden cupolas sparkle on the heights of the city.
The interior has a beautiful ceiling.
