Sadly the church is under a major restoration currently. There is scaffolding covering the entire outside of the structure. I did venture inside for the 2 franc charge. Yes, it is a little creepy but also beautiful in its own right.

I would have given it a higher rating if I could have seen the actual structure. :-/

Beautiful small Russian church in the heart of a very nice neighborhood next to the historical city center.

The Russian church is also a must-see when you visit Geneva. It's a bit off the core of the Old Town but you will not regret the extra few steps to see it. On the outside, the golden dome shines at all times. Inside, the rich ornaments will provide interesting views of the faith. Remember to take a scarf and some change if you plan to visit: women's hair is required to be covered and a small contribution must be paid.

The church looks great from the outside. I've never went to Russia, so it was the first time I saw that kind of towers in a church. They really look amazing and shine like gold.
When you get inside, it's kinda weird - again, I don't know how a russian church should look like inside. It's all painted black and red, very different from all other churches I've ever seen. Since you can't take pictures inside (as a matter of fact, there's a sign in the entrance forbidding you to enter carrying practically anything), your pictures will have only the nice part - the outdoors.
