QUICK HITS: Pitt hosts Robert Morris for its final home game of the 2024 season. The Panthers and Colonials are set to play a midweek contest at Vartabedian Field, Tuesday at 6 p.m. The two teams meet for 43rd time in program history with the Panthers leading the all-time series 25-16-1. The two teams faced off last season at Robert Morris where the Panthers won 6-0.

BY THE NUMBERS:

• Junior catcher KK Esparza ranks third in the ACC and ranks 27th in the NCAA with 12 caught stealings.
• Esparza boasts a .326 conference batting average and has five caught stealings by in conference play. In 20 conference games, Esparza has a perfect fielding percentage (1.000) without a passed ball or an error.
• Cami Compson ranks ninth in the ACC and 53rd in the NCAA with 13 home runs this season. Compson is one homer shy of tying Mckayla Taylor (14, 2015) for fifth all-time in program history for single-season home runs. Compson has 34 career home runs which is currently tied with Holly Stevens (2010-13) for third all-time in program history.
• Kat Rodriguez is the ninth toughest batter to strikeout in the ACC and the 75th toughest batter to strikeout in the NCAA. Rodriguez has recorded just seven strikeouts in 137 at-bats. In 21 conference games, Rodriguez has struck out just three times in 62 at-bats.
• Kylie Griggs has reached base in 17 consecutive games, dating back to March 23. Griggs is batting .333 (13-for-39) with 12 runs scored, three doubles, five home runs, 13 RBI, nine walks, a .711 slugging percentage, and .516 on-base percentage in that span.
• In 42 games this season, Griggs has recorded 28 hits in 105 at-bats with six doubles, 10 home runs, and 27 RBI. Griggs entered the season with 34 career hits in 172 at-bats with six doubles and five home runs in 81 career games.
• Olivia Stefanoni appeared in all three games at Boston College and started all three games against Syracuse. In her last 10 appearances (six starts), Stefanoni holds a 2-3 record with a 3.00 ERA (15 er / 35.0 ip) with 13 strikeouts, 13 walks, two complete games and two saves.

2024 ACC TOURNAMENT: The Panthers enter the final week of the regular season, contending for a spot in the 2024 ACC Tournament. Seven teams have already clinched a spot in the tournament with Pitt, Boston College, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Syracuse all vying for the final three spots. The Panthers will need to win at least two games against NC State to remain in consideration for an ACC Tournament berth. Key match ups this weekend include the Panthers traveling to NC State, Boston College hosting Louisville, and Syracuse hosting Florida State. Notre Dame will not play this weekend after finishing their regular season schedule last weekend against Boston College.
