Met friends for lunch this week at Roberts Maine Grill. Nice atmosphere and good service. Ordered the lobster roll, having seen a photo of one on their website that looked really good. The lobster roll I got was tiny; it tasted fine, but for $31 it was lacking. Left hungry and disappointed.

Analise was attentive and service oriented. Our crab cakes were crispy and warm. Our wine was chilled and very dry. My sirloin was cooked perfectly along with a few broiled scallops. My companion loved her lobster
Salad combo! Our chocolate dessert was deliciously
Chilled and rich. Coffee too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom B.NH, NH0104Feb 4, 2024
Lobster Roll (traditional w/mayo, didnt try the hot buttered: one of the best, 10/10 no notes.
Oysters: perfect.
Cocktails: (Rum Punch and Bloody Mary) both excellent.
The fries (shoe string) are on point, and the onion rings are huge!
We will be back, often.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sara E.Boston, MA011876Jan 27, 2024Updated review
Came here again and were completely disappointed. The service was extremely slow, even though it was slow time between lunch and dinner. It took the waitress 15 minutes to bring water, 25 minutes to bring raw oysters. The wine list is insanely overpriced, cheap wine being sold for more per glass than costs per bottle. For food, I can at least say that the lobster sliders are very good. But the haddock Rueben is $18 and absolutely a letdown, even stingy on the fish.
They charge Boston prices for mediocre food and service. It's a total disappointment and we won't bother with this place again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Nov 18, 2023Previous reviewExcellent in every way! Started with a basil elderflower gin martini, which was delicious. The lobster sliders on the buttermilk biscuit were very very generous and so tasty. The haddock reuben... oh that melt is the reason I look forward to coming back! Service was lovely, the space was lovely, even had a nice view on the little inlet. We adored it, will be back soon!

Stopped here while traveling through the area and I am so glad we did. The dinning room allowed the sun in and made for a beautiful experience. The lobster roll was the reason I chose the restaurant and I am so glad we decided on Robert's! The lobster roll was amazinnnngg and the roll that it came on was on soft, perfectly toasted, with just the right amount of butter, and the lobster had amazing flavor. The blueberry pie came highly recommended as the dessert, and it was a pie I'll never forget, so so so good. On top of the food being amazing our waitress was so kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and accommodating to my boyfriend's allergies ! Highly recommend to anyone that's in the area and wanting some tasty food.

Went looking through reviews to find the best seafood place in the area and came across Roberts. My husband and I were looking for someplace with good food and a nicer restaurant. The food was super good and staff was great. i highly recommend.

This is a great seafood restaurant if you're looking for a casual lunch - lobster rolls and all the typical items you're looking for. We were able to make a reservation online pretty last minute on St Patrick's Day. They do have a decent cocktail and wine list, and service is a bit chaotic but prompt. Would recommend and return.

It took a little while to be seated, so we probably got to our table about 10 minutes after the booked time. Friendly service arrived swiftly and brought drinks and appetizers. Entrees took a little while longer, but we were impressed with the fresh, hot and high quality food. The fish Reuben sandwich was particularly good, and we'd recommend the clam chowder. Would definitely come again. Parking is a little tricky and is limited when the restaurant is busy.

One of my favorite meeting spots with family and friends! The word is out so be sure to book a reservation online before heading to RMG. As a Mainer I use this as a meeting spot for my MA family. The lot is spacious so plenty of parking and the food and service is stellar. This Cobb salad caught my eye on the menu and with fresh lobster meat chucks ontop... it did not disappoint!
I would give RMG 10 stars if that was an option.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Mar 9, 2020Previous reviewConveniently located on route one, we never hesitate to get off 95 to visit Roberts. It is a great meet up spot with family from mass or a break in our ride before we get back to Portland. The warm friendly atmosphere combined with the great staff. The lobster on the buttermilk biscuit was a flavor burst in my mouth. The combination of the grilled biscuit with a little butter complemented the fresh lobster meat. I think I could have eaten six of those. The fish taco was not up to my liking, as it did not have as much flavor as I desired. the fish was in a batter and flash fried, which I would have preferred just a nice white fish grilled with chipotle Allie on top. As for the burger, the picture says it all!!!
The atmosphere and staff will always bring you back! Just lovely! - Tina P.South Portland, ME08Apr 22, 2024
Was very busy but only waited 20 min.
Server was very friendly and attentive and food and drinks came out quickly.
We got fried calamari appetizer which was cooked perfect not rubbery like other places and a Caesar salad which pretty big was fresh and not drowning in dressing. We got fish and chips and fried scallops both very fresh and good portions. Also very nice atmosphere, interior design was very warm and inviting and comfortable and CLEAN.
Definitely recommend!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3170136Dec 2, 2023
Our family go to lunch spot on the weekends when we are in the mood for great seafood!
Their raw bar: oysters clams and shrimp cocktails are the best!!!! They are so fresh w so many varieties.
Their baked haddock is also my fav dish here And i havent found anywhere else that tops their haddock, fish and chips and fried clams. New england is full of great seafood places but this restaurant is SOLID every time.
Tip: try to make reservations days ahead since ppl line up and ive seen people get walk away because wait time was so long.
There is plenty of parking but it does fill up fast! So we try to go closer to opening times.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
