This is a medium sized green space in an affluent area of London. There's plenty of well kept grass and trees. Ultimately it's just a bit of green space and there's little to do here except for some shops close by.

The green is itself is a mini park without much to do. The real attraction is the remains of the Tudor Richmond Palace nearby. The Gatehouse and some houses are still there, with the Old Deer Park which the Tudors used. It is all free and provides walks in all directions.

This is a large square green crossed by two paths and surrounded by tall trees and big houses (and an old palace used by Henry VIII). Most of the green is the central grass area which is used for picnics and just sitting on during the summer, as well as cricket some weekends. It's not spectacular but it's nice and pretty, and a lovely contrast from downtown Richmond which is very close by. The TripAdvisor map may direct you to NE London which is incorrect.

We ventured to get a glimpse of old Richmond Palace, once home to monarchy but today in private hands. Exiting the tube at Richmond station, we walked toward the House of Fraser, then passing it, turned right into a street that curved toward Richmond Park. This is a large green offering a pleasant place to sit and relax.
Walking up the street further, one notices a series of buildings on the left hand side. Toward the corner of the green on this same side of the green, you’ll see a placard on one of the buildings calling attention to it as The Old Palace. Just across this building in the park is another Placard offering the history of this place that was once home to several monarchs.
The gatehouse at this residence was also once a favorite place of Lady Jersey in the mid 20th century (Hollywood actress Virginia Cherrill who was married to the Earl of Jersey at the time). This reference is provided in the book Chaplin’s Girls (as she starred with silent movie great Charlie Chaplin in the classic movie City Lights). So there is a bit of England and Hollywood history colliding for you in the southwestern London area.

An ok green space to walk around or for a summer picnic; most of the houses and structures around the green are grade II-listed, while some houses (Maids of Honour Row) and buildings are grade I (The Wardrobe and Gate House, both surviving structures from Richmond Palace).

Of interest to me because of the last remaining fragment of the (Tudor) Richmond Palace, and as the home of the lovely Richmond Theatre. It's a nice square green space just a short walk from the busy centre of Richmond and is surrounded by attractive buildings, but is not really a tourist destination in itself except for those specifically visiting this area.

Once a while, there are crickets matches are held in the park and there are drinks available from nearby pubs such as the Cricketers or any vendors around there.
Nice to be there for sunbathing or simply picnics.

Nothing really to do here but it's a pleasant place to sit or have a picnic on a sunny day. Surrounded by nice houses and there are the remains of Richmond Palace dating from the 1500s. When it's dry in summer the grass goes brown!

This is a large open space in the middle of Richmond that is used by all members of the community, such as cricket matches and fetes. It is owned by the Crown Estate and was once the site of jousting. It provides a pleasant walk with lots of interesting building to view on the edge of the Green

Richmond green is a small park area in Richmond town centre. It is surrounded by some interesting shops, bars, good pubs and restaurants. There is an overground station and underground railway station in Richmond and good links by bus.
