- Larry GAuburn, California214 contributionsProbably best car exhibit you’ll ever see.Over 200 cars, most in perfect condition covering the entire history of car manufacturing. Classics (Duesenberg) celebrity (Elvis’ 1973 Cadillac) and everything in between. Take your time and allow for a few hours to give this exhibit it’s due.Visited May 2023Traveled with familyWritten May 2, 2023
- buzz501Reno, Nevada78 contributionsThe history of automobiles right in front you.To me one of the best deals in Reno. Over 200 cars and 1 1/2 to go through the collection. Everyone so nice and relieved a Veterans discount. Our 1st time visit and was surprised how much fun.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 15, 2023
- Lee EElwood, Illinois15 contributionsReno Auto MuseumThe museum was very nice. Tours were available and the front desk attendant took the time to explain the entire layout. Nice older cars in beautiful condition. Nice gift shop too.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 17, 2023
- Jill BFort Collins, Colorado18 contributionsAn unexpected gem! This is a hidden gem and well worth your time even if you aren't into cars. A blast from the past in so many ways. Three generations enjoyed this, and grandparents telling grandkids about memories / stories was priceless. I wasn't terribly thrilled about going, and ended up wanting to go again.Visited August 2022Traveled with familyWritten June 2, 2023
- Patrick RBay Area Houston, Texas353 contributionsAmerican Car History at its bestToo many great cars to see and enjoy in less than two hours. Doesn’t cost much to enjoy the exhibits and the free guided tour was a special bonus. Definitely a great adventure to those that enjoy autos, history and industry development. Many personal stories are associated with the Id visual exhibits. Good for the family but it is a rather long walking tour and limited drinks/food available. Don’t miss this adventure!Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 13, 2023
- ellel593La Quinta, California77 contributionsAmazing automobile museumWhen we visited the museum we had no idea what to expect. Our experience was amazing. The museum is full of the most incredible automobiles. The early autos were exquisite as was everything. The cars were literally works of art preserved in better than original condition. The staff was amazing. They loved being part of the history and preserving it for the visitors. Highly recommend the museum for everyoneVisited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 24, 2023
- richmagee7San Antonio, Texas10 contributionsBest collection I've seenBest collection I've seen. Lots of very early cars, turn of the century. Cars on up through the 60s. A race car section as well as a movie section. They had cars I've never heard of, and I love cars. From Dusenbergs to a Tucker, to the car James Dean drove in 'Rebel without a Cause', to Ed Roth originals. Very well laid out. Nice gift shop. Special display from American Graffiti while we were there. Even the wife loved it.Visited July 2023Written August 4, 2023
- sarah4nil91 contributionsGreat auto museum and wonderful docent led tourThis is a terrific auto museum, has an extensive collection, great history, and every automobile is polished to a spotless shine. Museum has old time feel with a few streets having olden day storefronts, gas pumps, etc. We were lucky to be on time for the 1:30PM docent tour which was excellent and lasted about 90 minutes. We got so much more out of that tour than just walking around on our own. There was even a Model T photo car and prop (hats, costume) that visitors can put on to take a fun photo!Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 29, 2023
- Pete D1 contributionMemories are made of this.Sure glad that I didn't have to pick a favorite. Staff was great and very helpful. I have liked cars all my life but there are some there I never heard of before. I will go again the next time I am in Reno. Suggest that you don't wear new shoes to this .Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 6, 2023
- Jerry W54 contributionsGreat MuseumMy wife and I recently visited this museum for about 3 hours. If you are a car buff or history buff this museum is a must see. It contains over 270 vehicles starting with early steam driven types. The collection has unique cars of all types since the invention of cars. It also includes race cars and cars which belonged to celebrities or were in movies. The museum offers discounts for veterans and seniors.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 16, 2023

Really enjoyed the stroll through the Automotive history museum. A real testament to the innovation and love for cars. The older cars (late 1800's early 1900's are beautiful and most interesting to me. I liked to see the facts on sale prices and other tidbits of information highlighting design elements. There are guided tours but an audio guide with self paced selection based on exhibit# would have been an improvement for me.

This is the perfect socially distanced activity to do with your POD. I was there on a Monday morning and there were a few staff and a hand full of patrons. You could see each other through the galleries but we never came within 10 feet of each other. Rare cars in great condition and a lot of history!

Classic cars, celebrity cars, old/original cars ... they're all in this museum. Whether you want to see James Dean's car from Rebel Without a Cause, or a 1936 Rolls Royce, they have them in this museum.

Reno was HOT, so we were looking for indoor things to do. This museum was amazing. Of course, we like cars, but the way they set this museum up was very nice. 4 rooms of different ages of cars. Plenty to read about the time and the importance of the cars. Movie stars, owners, creators, all woven into the story. My husband really liked the motors on stands that you could really see and read about. Everything was mint clean. Large gift shop with a variety of items.
You could sit in a Model A ,around a 1930's, and take all the selfies you wanted. You can stay as long as you want.

This museum has over 100 vintage cars that are in pristine condition. Some of the cars are displayed on a street in the vintage they were in. Very interesting and well worth your time. If you like older cars you will love it.

This museum is based on the old Harrahs car collection. Terrific displays set up in a walking tour format. Many unique, one-of-a kind autos and memorabilia. I go back every time I'm in the area.

Amazing collections of cars with incredible restoration value. Some of the cars were in movies like titanic and rebel without a cause. Also some one of kind cars literally the only one built. The movie was supposed to play on the top of every hour but they were having technical difficulties so that was a huge disappoint. Without the movie I got through the exhibit in 30 minutes so not sure if it’s quite worth 12 dollars.

Lots of Beautiful Cars and History. A MUST see for the whole Family, From children to the eldest. Loved it. I have been to Reno tons of times and I never took time to see what else there was besides the casinos and buffets. The buffets were all closed so I am happy I discovered this wonderful museum with so many beautiful cars and to think about the history these cars play a part of in History. You have to go.

I don't recall seeing any, but the walkways throughout the displays are wide enough for scooters if you were to bring your own.

Admission is reasonable, about $10 per person. I believe they also offer a military and senior discount.
