Renée Zellweger, Before and After
“Not that it’s anyone’s business, but I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes,” said Renée Zellweger in a 2016 op-ed she wrote for The Huffington Post.1
It was her way of responding to the global media firestorm she ignited in 2014, when the Bridget Jones’s Diary star was photographed at an event looking completely different.
She went on to denounce the publications writing about her as a “massive smut pile,” and suggested that her changing looks should not even be a topic of conversation, calling it “a disconcerting illustration of news/entertainment confusion and society’s fixation on physicality.”
So let me get this straight. Renée is one of the world’s most famous, beloved actresses, someone who has been idolized and supported by her fans for over two decades—but we’re not supposed to notice or even comment when she suddenly looks like another person.
When will celebs understand that we don’t really care if they had plastic surgery—we just want them to be up front about it?
Let’s take a closer look at her beauty transformation over the years (and if that makes this a “smut pile” website, so be it!).
