Cosying up to a new bird! Benedict Cumberbatch shows off his playful side at Penguins Of Madagascar premiere in NYC
He's been labelled 'the thinking woman's crumpet' and topped several 'sexiest man alive' polls, but he's now poised to become a favourite among the children thanks to his latest movie.
Benedict Cumberbatch, 38, showed off his playful side as he stepped out at the New York City premiere for his new animated movie Penguins of Madagascar on Sunday.
The British actor, recently engaged to Sophie Hunter, was seen posing beside a person in full penguin costume as he got into the spirit of things at Winter Village at Bryant Park Ice Rink.

Looking dapper in a navy suit with a white shirt and black slim tie, the star shared an embrace with the penguin before meeting up with his co-stars, including John Malkovich and Ken Jeong.
Also on hand for the festivities was Brooke Shields, who indulged in some light-hearted fun with her daughters, days before the release of her juicy tell-all memoir.
The 49-year-old actress and model took Rowan, 11, and Grier, eight, ice skating at the bash.

They were bundled up against the cold, with Brooke wearing a black coat over leather trousers with a matching beret.
Rowan donned a blue puffer jacket over a plaid shirt with blue jeans as Grier wore an army green jacket over a black skirt with black tights.
The two girls are Brooke's daughters with her husband, screenwriter/producer Chris Henchy, 50.
