Good to see, if you like planetarium: You can join the introductions to the planet in several kind of projection. For example winter sky; Sky about Lodz ect.
Additional they offer the music presentation of famous group in the planetarium. Unfortunate I did joint Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of The Moon , but it must be good fun to be there during the movie.

The Radegast Station during the World War II was transformed into a station used to deliver food and industrial materials to the ghetto. The station’s building standing to this day was built in 1941 and in the same year the station became the final point of trains transporting Jews from western European countries and provincial ghettos from Wartheland.
Currently the Station is under the care of the Museum of Independence Traditions and it is a must to see when you are in Lodz.

I had a good time in EC1. Really conveys heavy industry feel as per location itself. There's an admirable amount of interactive attractions. Topics go from quarks to quasars. What I found lacking was accessibility of knowledge, very technical descriptions at certain points made interesting things dull and hard to comprehend.

The layout is a bit confusing but the staff were helpful and the exhibits were very varied. Modern and vintage design and textiles were blended together to make for an interesting tour. On leaving the museum you can visit a street of old wooden Polish buildings.

This museum is hosted in apalace of a former owner of one of the factories of Lodz, who had to demonstrate his wealth. The original and recovered rooms are impressive. The cinema content of the museum is weird. There are a lot of old machines for the cinema industry, an interesting wooden machine showing stereo images to a bunch of people at the same time, some big props in the garden, a kromaki system, and a lot of puppets used for stop motion takes. A lot of information is provided in Polish only.

What an amazing beautiful piece of architecture. The exterior renovations are almost done (garden was still closed for us) and there is still more work to be done on main level - but what a treat that it was reopened when we were visiting. You can tour the rooms of where Karol Poznanski lived with his family - bed chambers, dressing rooms, drawing rooms etc and witness the life of a man who was extremely pivotal to the industrial rise of Łódź. A Jewish magnate, Poznanski would eventually see his empire fall prey to the Nazis. But this ‘home’ - really a Palace - is a great example of what Łódź used to be and how much money there was in the city at one time when it was a huge economic hub for Poland and Europe (late 19th early 20th century) and its rapid growth and industrialization. There is *also* a great museum in the basement that shows you up close and personal what life was like in Łódź - when Polish, German and Jewish families lived side by side until the situation became a nightmare. Worth visiting! A little disorganized and ramshackle but they are getting it together and pouring massive funds into restoring architectural gems throughout Łódź- it’s artsy, gritty and very cool to visit.

So interesting to walk through the old sewers. It's a very quick tour, about 10 minutes, but a fun tour that you won't get to do in other European cities.

An exhibition prepared for viewers of all ages. Their diversity - paintings, photographs, videos played on TVs - makes these exhibitions unique. The exhibitions feature 20th and 21st century art, making it understandable to all. Great museum location so you can explore the rest of the city

Lodz owns its history to this factory. It is impossible to have a clue of Lodz without visiting this place. Moreover, the surrounding manufactura mall is a pleasant place. There are plenty of other activities you may enjoy, but visiting this museum is a must.

Located next to the big monument at the north end of Piotrkowska Street, this is an interesting museum. The atmosphere is sort of a throwback to communist times, as there are a two guards in a booth as you enter, and many staff directing you where to go and keeping an eye on you throughout. Just realize this is the work environment of this museum, and go with it. There was an amazing exhibition of masks and puppets when we visited - they were terrifying and fascinating. There are also permanent exhibitions of the history of people in Poland - from the first primitive people to the middle ages - as well as some big recreations of village life in the 1800's. If you have an hour and older kids, it's worth a stop.

Unfortunately the place was closed when we visited, but still felt like it was an important place to see... even from the outside. What happened here during the last days of WW2 is so evil and dark that just standing outside the building and looking at the information there is enough to give you a sense of history.

Went on an open day and had trips on old trams, tour of workshop, viewed the old buses and had long chat with English speaking enthusiast, really enjoyed it. Is not a fully-fledged museum, they are building it up, so don't expect audio tours or bi-lingual displays etc, but good place even now!
