What travelers are saying
- Duane CDodgeville, WI4 contributionsI knew quite a bit about the SC Johnson Wax Building before taking the tour, and I expected to be very impressed when seeing it in person. Well, I was more than impressed, I was amazed! It almost literally took my breath away when I walked into the office building. If I didn't know the construction of this building was completed in 1939, I would have thought it was completed last year. It is that well maintained. Our tour guide, Kristin, was very personable, very knowledgeable, and very patient about answering the questions that many of us had while on the tour. Highly recommended!!Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Laura GAda, MI142 contributionsAnother FLW gem! We loved the tour, especially the film with the Johnson children who grew up in the home. It added so much more to the experience.Written March 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Cathy KGreenville, SC, United States9 contributionsThis place is the best. I have been here quite a few times. My father, who passed away the end of April, loved this farm. I have had many of the vegetables including bell peppers, onions, corn, eggplant, squash and the best is the corn. It is so sweet and so fresh. This is just a roadside produce stand, but incredibly fresh, and the best prices. Plus, it is just amazing to be able to buy produce that was picked the same day. It is a bit of a drive for me, so I have never had their fruit. They don’t always have strong bags, so you may want to bring your own. We have met some of the farmers, and they are very nice. It is just so nice to know that places like this still exist. Even the customers are just happy so it’s just a great experience.Written November 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Myra R6 contributionsWe really loved the beach. It was nice to see that you can go further and still not too deep. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed it the most. It was also great to see my son seems like running on the water. We all had a great time!Written August 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PamGurnee, IL5 contributionsSpent the morning in the hot shop, staff was excellent. - KHowell26Dubuque, IA28 contributionsWe visited on a "First-Friday" in August and they had a make-your-own activity on the back patio. The kids and I made drawings as if we were looking out a submarine window, which was a great way to get them involved in art.Written March 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KHowell26Dubuque, IA28 contributionsWe've been to the Racine zoo twice, once as a couple and 10 years later with our 2 kids, 5 and 7. This is a nice, small zoo and a great way to spend a few hours in Racine. The kids loved feeding the giraffes, feeding the birds and the train ride, as well playing on the playground.
I also highly recommend visiting the zoo beach!Written March 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First off this is a very nice regional small museum. They had displays on local/regional focus including: Sports, Frank Lloyd Wright: the early years, drum & bugle corps to name a few. They even have an Egyptian mummy, something I didn't expect from a small museum. The building is three stories (all stairs, no elevators, I don't recommend with people with major mobility issues). I think the thing that made this a fun trip was the information desk had scavenger hunt sheets - 3 different kinds. It is fun for kids and adults too. One was questions of that you had to go around the museum to find the answers, another was a visual search: pictures of a 'segment' of a display you had to find and last: Find the rubber ducks they hid in the museum. They listed how many ducks per floor and spoiler alert, not all the ducks are "yellow" in color. You do get a prize by finding all the ducks. It made for a fun filled afternoon. I recommend this place, and if you are not bringing kids, then bring your inner child with you and play the scavenger hunt games.Written December 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James PRacine, WI46 contributionsHiking trails through wooded areas, along the river, boardwalks through swampy areas, canoes and kayaks available for rent. There is also an education center indoors and an outside ampitheater. It's one of my favorite places to hike in spring and fall.Written November 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gayle fKnoxville, TN194 contributionsMy niece has a sailboat here. This is a very clean facility. Various locked entrances. A little store that offers ice cream and a delightful walk around to the point where the boats enter marina from Lake Michigan. I stayed at nearby hotel so was able to walk here. Private pool area for marina slip owners. I was very impressed.Written September 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DJV1121East Troy, WI4 contributionsI was recently lucky enough to see the Wizard of Oz at the Racine Theatre Guild that was really excellent! There was an outstanding lion, tin man, and scarecrow. A perfectly cast set of characters included Dorothy, Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, and Wizard of Oz. The music, direction, and choreography were incredible! It was a brilliant show from start to fsnini ,Written January 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
