Beautiful resort perfect for families . The entire resort is so well maintained, lots of activities to do and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Beds and pillows are super comfortable with heavenly showers. The foam party on Saturday afternoons are so much fun and every afternoon there is a free chocolate hour where you can stuff yourself with all sorts of chocolate sweets. Buffet breakfast is one of the best we have been to.

We received an awesome upgrade to the fully equipped villa where we didnt want to leave after 25 nights. I would recommend you to make use of the current cheap deal for either a breakfast by the private pool or evening canape by the lake. This huge resort was very clean & quiet and that made me realize the scent of frangipani mixing well with the sea salt during my morning strolls. I truly appreciated the unforgettable hosting from Trung and Quoc who proved that Covid only limited the availability but not the hospitality.

Initially when we arrived at Vietnam we were not sure what to expect as this was our first time in Vietnam but we were pleasantly surprised.
From the moment you enter the luscious gardens you are taken to another world and greeted by the friendliest people (even though not everyone can speak proper English).
We were a family of 4 and stayed in an interconnecting family suite and I have to say that the rooms were absolutely amazing, we stayed on the top level and the views were spectacular - especially the Sunsets. Huge shout out to Harry - guest relations manager who went above and beyond to look after us as we had some minor issues with the room.
Resort is huge, there are 2 hotels and villas and there are 2 restaurants where you can have buffet breakfast and Aura for dining and drinks by the pool. I have to say that this place has amazing food, we ate at all the restaurants and food was amazing. They have the best buffet breakfast with a huge variety of choices - even for fussy little eaters and incredible staff who actually remember how you like your coffee which is amazing! Big hello to the friendly and amazing staff at the Islander and Lang Chai Restaurants.
Beach is really clean and you get to experience to most amazing sunsets, pools are also great, we mainly stayed at the Movenpick pool next to Aura as we enjoyed the cocktails by the pool especially the Coco Loco and we met the most amazing staff who greeted us with smiles every day! Special thanks to the amazing Tam and her amazing team at the Aura Beach Club, we miss them very much.
Saturdays are fun at Movenpick as this is the only Resort that provides a DJ and foam party so kids absolutely loved it, be sure to take advantage of the Happy Hour and order extra Cocktails from Aura Beach Club.
I would highly recommend the Spa, the girls did an amazing job and wish I could take them home with us, prices are reasonable and you do not want to miss out on this experience.
Overall I would highly recommend this resort, staff are super nice and friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate with your needs, we even met Claudio (Assistant GM) and Olivier (GM) and had chats with them during our stay and they are also very friendly and down to earth people. I want to say thank you to all the staffs at the resort, they were all amazing and very friendly!
Some recommendations for an even better family experience is to build a water park for the kids as resort is huge and this would attract families even more and another thing that would be great is perhaps offering a free shuttle bus to town as resort is a little further out of town.

I was so impressed! We got a spacious family studio with 2 bedrooms and kitchen with a large refrigerator. The ocean view on the 8th floor was so spectacular. The resort layout just amazing. We stay at the residence which about 5 mins walk to the hotel building. In my opinion, the residence building is more quiet which is I like the most. To go to the beach, you need to go through the hotel, through the pool, there are activities available at the beach such as soccer, ping pong etc. the bathing area at the beach is secured with signed and of course the lifeguard is right at the beach. When we were there, the chocolate time (complimentary) for all guests available around 2PM, the pastries were so delicious, moisture and soft, especially not so sweet. We are 4 adults and one kid, all got breakfast buffet at Lang Chai Restaurant. They have a significant collection of local foods, pretty yummy. Employees are the best! So attentive and polite! Everyone I have a chance interact with are so kind specially Jessica Thi, Yen Nhi, Ngoc Nhi etc. we definitely will come back and will share our wonderful experience with friends and families. My family and I revisited Mövenpick during Christmas week for six days, and it was even better than before. The resort is still looking and feeling new. The ocean was swimmable and the weather was great, making it easy to enjoy the resort facilities and events. The four main reasons for returning to this resort are the staff, the facilities, and location. Luckily, we can count on good food and drinks at a decent price. We like that it is close enough to town, Vinwonders, and the safari, yet on a private, clean beach. My daughter was able to use the facilities, such as enjoying the kids’ pool, kids club, two playgrounds, and various child-friendly events.
The employees, again, are awesome. They attended to anything we needed in a timely manner and are great company. They are very personable and an efficient crew. Mr. Mobeen, Director of Lifestyle and Fun, puts together many activities and events that catered to all ages, and he is a great host. We joined him for the pool parties and a very memorable Christmas festival. He now added snorkeling and boat cruises to their schedule. Mr. Trung, Guest Experience Manager, and Ms. Mia, Guest Relation Officer, once again made us feel at home every day. On a daily basis, they checked on us, spent time with our daughter, and made sure we were 100% satisfied with our stay. They both stopped by and gave our daughter Christmas gifts. You can tell they are enjoying making guest feel welcome and appreciated.
We were once again happy with the quality of the food. The dining area and outdoor eating area are very pleasant. There are so many tasteful options for the breakfast buffet. Their regular menu offers Eastern and Western fare.
It was a busier time at Mövenpick, and customer service was still on point. Other customers were happy with their stay and extended their trip, and we actually were going to do the same, but due to new Covid cases in Southern Vietnam, we had to be leave on our regular departure day. We had a blast at the Christmas party and really wanted to stay for the NYE events.
Oh, don't miss chocolate hour!

We stayed fro 2 nights, despite the weather being not great we had a great time, Highly recommended to stay here at Movenpick Residences Phu Quoc !! Everybody so kind :)) Clean & yummy food ! The resort provided good accomodation. However the procedures gave us the worst experience ever. Upon check it they told me my room did not include breakfast (of course I paid for a breakfast included rate), this was a mistake, and it’s fine, mistakes happen, they checked it again and confirmed that breakfast was included. But again the next day when I was having breakfast, they called me to the reception and announced that breakfast was not included, again, and after checking it for the second time, they apologized and said it was included, I was pretty annoyed this point but decided to not let it ruin my vacation. This is not finished, after walking out of the restaurant other staffs came and demanded me to pay for the breakfast??? This is ridiculous, and after checking it again for another time, they apologized again! This made me feel like I was begging for the meals rather than I paid for it. Everytime the staffs check out for their working hours, other staffs came to work and this happened.
Long story short, definitely the last time I choose this brand.

My husband and I took 3 of our children (18,18 and 14) for 4 nights at the movenpick phu quoc for a much needed beach retreat after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh and of course to escape the harsh Canadian cold and snowy weather.
Upon arrival at the international airport in phu quoc we were greeted by a hotel representative with a sign to take us to the resort by private transfer (we had decided to go that route instead of using the included shuttle service), towelettes and cookies were offered to us in the transfer which we really appreciated.
The drive from the airport was smooth and took only about 30 minutes.
Once at the hotel we were quickly directed at the check in counter by Quyen and checked in. Our villa was already ready despite arriving early and we were given the keys to villa 30 right away and Quyen explained everything for us around the property: restaurants, pools, beach, gave us a villa tour etc and also gave us her WhatsApp number to contact her should we needed anything= a true butler service which we didn’t know was a service that came with the villa. Quyen was very prompt at answering my messages and attending to our needs, needed to book spa? She did it for us. Booked our private bbq at our villa? She booked it, ordered and brought cocktails to our villas as requested? Quyen always showed up for us. My husband and I are seasoned travellers and this was our 33th country and we’ve done many in Asia and around the world. We have never received such great service, truly an incredible customer service experience. All the staff from the restaurants, bars, spa, literally anyone we came across was always making sure that our needs were met. We are Marriott Bonvoy members and decided to “cheat” on them for this trip and do not regret it one bit. I want to personally thank every single employees who were working from March 8-12 2023 during our stay. You guys made our trip memorable and we recommend movenpick phu quoc to everyone!
Great location, fantastic pools, great villas with amenities, beautiful and well manicured grounds, warm pools, pool in the villa gets cleaned several times a day, great food and drinks. I could go on and on about this place. Book it and have a great time just like we did!
Upon arrival at the international airport in phu quoc we were greeted by a hotel representative with a sign to take us to the resort by private transfer (we had decided to go that route instead of using the included shuttle service), towelettes and cookies were offered to us in the transfer which we really appreciated.
The drive from the airport was smooth and took only about 30 minutes.
Once at the hotel we were quickly directed at the check in counter by Quyen and checked in. Our villa was already ready despite arriving early and we were given the keys to villa 30 right away and Quyen explained everything for us around the property: restaurants, pools, beach, gave us a villa tour etc and also gave us her WhatsApp number to contact her should we needed anything= a true butler service which we didn’t know was a service that came with the villa. Quyen was very prompt at answering my messages and attending to our needs, needed to book spa? She did it for us. Booked our private bbq at our villa? She booked it, ordered and brought cocktails to our villas as requested? Quyen always showed up for us. My husband and I are seasoned travellers and this was our 33th country and we’ve done many in Asia and around the world. We have never received such great service, truly an incredible customer service experience. All the staff from the restaurants, bars, spa, literally anyone we came across was always making sure that our needs were met. High quality standards and nice happy hour.
I liked the bar, the personnel, really efficient and professional.
The sea view suite is also wonderful. Beach is nice and relaxing.
The food at restaurant is excellent.
Concierge even helped us when my wife forgot her phone in a grab taxi. They were really caring and nice people, especially their manager.
Olivier and the management are doing excellent job, listening and caring about customers, maintaining those high standards and coming with initiative for making more memorable guest experience at Movenpick.
There is, though, some room for improvement, especially when it comes to last order at restaurant, which is written at 9.30. Even that it is quite early, if you arrive at 9.25PM to the restaurant, they would decline you entry saying that they have last order, which in fact happened to us in the first night.
In our country, last order means you can accept a last order, in other words, if you can make all your orders at once, then you can sit. Not like go home, it is late.
Another point, maybe for the chocolate hour, there can be improvement with more chocolate choices.. I was before in other Movenpick when the chocolate hour is a unique experience. For example, Movenpick Hua Hin had a wonderful chocolate hour.
Room cleaning also can use a slight improvement, overall fine cleaning.

Apologies for delayed reply, nothing within walking distance only what is part of the resort. It’s approximately 30min from the main city centre.
