‘Quantico’ Canceled After Three Seasons On ABC

ABC’s terrorism drama Quantico will not see a fourth season. The network has opted to cancel the series starring Priyanka Chopra. Its Season 3 finale will now serve as the series ender.

Quantico, from ABC Studios and producer Mark Gordon, was a breakout when it debuted in fall 2015, setting delayed viewing lift records. But with its dense narrative and heavy serialization, the series started to lose momentum in the second half of its first season and continued to see declines though Season 2 and into Season 3.

It came down-to-the-wire last May for the drama series when it scored a last-minute abbreviated Season 3 renewal with a reduced license fee and new creative under a new showrunner.

While not a big linear ratings performer, especially in Live+Same Day, Quantico has done well in delayed viewing and has been a solid international seller for ABC Studios, fueled in part by the global popularity of its star Chopra.

Created by Joshua Safran, the ABC terrorism drama starred Chopra as Alex Parrish. The cast also included Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, Alan Powell, Marlee Matlin, and Blair Underwood.
