Amy Amatangelo Paste Magazine The best part of Puppy Love may be its double entendre marketing tagline: “One bone can change everything.” Rated: 4.0/10 Aug 14, 2023 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...benefits from its easygoing atmosphere and charismatic performances... Rated: 3/4 Apr 27, 2024 Full Review Archika Khurana The Times of India Directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Alan Reid, Puppy Love ultimately falls short of expectations, relying primarily on the lead performances and the appeal of the puppy love story to maintain viewers' interest. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 16, 2024 Full Review Stephanie Archer Film Inquiry While predictable and leaning into classic rom-com tropes, Puppy Love works to end on a high note, the film as a whole crescendoing with success as it works to its finish line. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Kat Halstead Common Sense Media Puppy Love gives its characters more complexity than your average boy-meets-girl flick, and Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Gustin (The Flash) elevate the material further with believable acting and strong comedy timing. Rated: 3/5 Sep 5, 2023 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee The plot meanders through various unfunny set pieces, with minimal obstacles to the inevitable coupling. Polina G A great movie, very predictable but still enjoyable! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Lindsey B I may be a tad biased because I’ve been a fan of both Grant Gustin and Lucy Hale for a long time, but I can honestly say Puppy Love is one of the best RomComs I’ve seen in a long time. The trailer presented it like it was just another predictable ultra-corny movie, but it exceeded my expectations and then some. Yes, the plot was predictable (as any good RomCom should be); but the development of the main characters helped keep it grounded in a sense of reality, which I think kept it from being super corny. All in all, highly recommend, especially for my fellow dog people. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Karin S It's cute and entertaining to watch on a Sunday or those days when we just want to watch something simple. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review Ashley G What a light hearted, funny and intelligent movie! Sis and I watched it, shows how opposites atttract ans some post covid fears we all have with the addition of man (and woman’s) best mate… loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/23/24 Full Review Igor S Simple, yet awesome, light hearted movie. It's not your typical romantic comedy and it's very predictable, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. I found both main characters hilarious; especially Grant Gustin. As someone who struggles with deep social anxiety, i felt very identified with his character. Even if you don't like dogs, there is still fun to be had here. I had a smile on my face throughout the whole movie, just because of how sweet the main character's relationship was and their chemistry together. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Audience Member The chemistry between the two actors was fantastic. A major shout out to Grant Gust, who was so believable in this role that my empathy for his character drew me into to the movie overall. For a romcom, there was nothing cheesy about the film. And if you’re a dog lover, you’ll totally love this movie. I laughed, and I cried, and I typically have a heart of stone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
