I may be a tad biased because I’ve been a fan of both Grant Gustin and Lucy Hale for a long time, but I can honestly say Puppy Love is one of the best RomComs I’ve seen in a long time. The trailer presented it like it was just another predictable ultra-corny movie, but it exceeded my expectations and then some. Yes, the plot was predictable (as any good RomCom should be); but the development of the main characters helped keep it grounded in a sense of reality, which I think kept it from being super corny. All in all, highly recommend, especially for my fellow dog people.

Simple, yet awesome, light hearted movie. It's not your typical romantic comedy and it's very predictable, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. I found both main characters hilarious; especially Grant Gustin. As someone who struggles with deep social anxiety, i felt very identified with his character. Even if you don't like dogs, there is still fun to be had here. I had a smile on my face throughout the whole movie, just because of how sweet the main character's relationship was and their chemistry together.

The chemistry between the two actors was fantastic. A major shout out to Grant Gust, who was so believable in this role that my empathy for his character drew me into to the movie overall. For a romcom, there was nothing cheesy about the film. And if you’re a dog lover, you’ll totally love this movie. I laughed, and I cried, and I typically have a heart of stone.
