Princess Olga of Yugoslavia: Her Life and Times Hardcover – April 1, 2021
Purchase options and add-ons
Often called the 'most royal Princess in Europe', Olga's life is imbued with drama from the outset: Taken 'hostage' by her Romanov grandmother, she is further traumatised by the assassination of her grandfather, the King of Greece, followed by a humiliating Swiss exile and being cast aside by a future Danish king.
While Olga's marriage to the Prince Regent of Yugoslavia finds her raised to the rank of Consort, it eventually leads to her being branded a 'dangerous traitor' and sent as a 'political prisoner' to Kenya.
Yet, as readers will discover, this is ultimately a story of duty, determination and redemption.

About the author
At school I always enjoyed a keen interest in British and European history. Over time, my focus centred on the Royal families of Europe and I vividly remember this was thanks to reading Dorothy Laird's excellent biography of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. On leaving school, I attended university and enjoyed a long business career, but always made time to read the latest royal biographies. I then wrote articles for 'Majesty' magazine and occasionally for Royalty Digest Quarterly. Indeed, it was after composing an article for this periodical, on the life of Princess Olga of Yugoslavia, that I made the decision to write a full-length biography of the Princess' life using her diaries, private correspondence and materials held at various Archives.
