Prince Harry touches down in UK for grandfather’s funeral

Prince Harry arrived from Los Angeles at London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday afternoon ahead of his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral in six days, according to reports.

Harry’s arrival in London at around 1:15 p.m. local time marked his first time home since famously quitting the royal family.

The prince, who was whisked off the tarmac in a black Range Rover, wore chinos, a jacket and black face mask, sources told The Sun.

He is expected to spent time in quarantine before attending the Duke of Edinburg’s funeral on Saturday — which is expected to be a muted affair due to the coronavirus.

Just 30 people will attend the ceremony, in keeping with the country’s strict limits on group gatherings.

However Harry will be wearing his military uniform during the event, The Sun said. He is no longer permitted to be in uniform because he gave up his honorary titles last year when he quit the royal family.

Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Edward are all expected to wear ceremonial outfits, the Sun said — while Prince Andrew will wear a suit after stepping back from public life over his connection to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Harry’s wife Meghan Markle, 39, will not be in attendance — because she is pregnant, according to reports.
