Los Angeles: Dry, Warm Weather Ahead for the Weekend
The tranquil weather pattern across the Los Angeles area will continue into early next week.
"A ridge of high pressure will build overhead to start the weekend," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.
Pydynowski added that this ridge will squash the low clouds in Los Angeles and the best chance for low clouds will be at the beaches, especially in Orange and San Diego counties.
Those looking to spend some time outdoors this weekend will see temperatures climb into the mid-80s in Downtown Los Angeles and hover around 80 F towards the coast. Daytime highs in the valleys are expected to rise near 90 F.
The average daytime high for this time of year in Downtown Los Angeles is in the upper 70s and in the lower 70s along the coast.
The heat will ease some heading into the new week, however, temperatures will stay a few degrees above normal, Pydynowski said.
The dry weather will also continue into early next week, though a potential storm system could bring showers late next week.
