**This place is temporarily closed** Permanent exhibitions: The History of the Jews in Bohemia and Moravia, Part 2 This exhibition deals with the history of the Jews in the Bohemian lands from the reforms of Joseph II in the 1780s to the period after the Second World War. It highlights the gradual advancement toward greater equality and emancipation for Jews in Austria-Hungary, describes the foundation of the Czech-Jewish and Zionist movements, and profiles the most important Jewish entrepreneurs, scientists, writers, musicians and artists (including Franz Kafka, Sigmund Freud and Gustav Mahler). It also deals with the redevelopment of the Prague Jewish Town, Jewish sites of Bohemia and Moravia, and the history of the Jewish Museum in Prague. Special focus is on the Shoah of Jews from Bohemia and Moravia, and the Terezin ghetto. Synagogue Silver from Bohemia and Moravia Located on the upper floor, this permanent exhibition features a representative selection of more than 200 of the most valuable silver artefacts from the museum's collections. Most space is given over to Torah ornaments - shields, pointers, finials and crowns. Also on display are charity boxes, pitcher and basin sets for hand washing, Shabbat spice boxes, Kiddush cups, Hanukkah and Shabbat candles, and charity collection trays. The Spanish Synagogue is part of the Jewsh museum in Prague. The Spanish Synagogue is the most recent synagogue in the Prague Jewish Town. Built in 1868 for the local Reform congregation on the site of the 12th-century Altschul, which was the oldest synagogue in the Prague ghetto. It was called the Spanish Synagogue for its impressive Moorish interior design, influenced by the famous Alhambra. The building was designed by Josef Niklas and Jan Bělský, the remarkable interior (from 1882–83) by Antonín Baum and Bedřich Münzberger. František Škroup, the composer of the Czech national anthem, served as organist here in 1836-45.

Around the time I visited in mid-March, this postcard-perfect square in Old Town Prague—the square of all squares when it comes to this lovely city—was host to an Easter-themed market, with a variety of food stalls, live music, and activities for children. It was a bustling yet relaxing environment to soak in the history and culture of Czechia. Flanked by colorful architecture and the iconic astronomical clock tower, the Staromestske Plaza embodies all what makes Prague so special.

Lucy, our guide is very clear in her explanation and well articulated. She is very caring by preparing extra umbrellas for us in anticipation of rain. We enjoyed thoroughly!!! Highly recommended!!!

Third time I visit and always enjoying it.
Now you have to pay, and other attractions have to be pay. Trust me, after 61 countries, this is the only activity in castle area to do, and really recommended if you like gothic churches.
Go after 1pm to avoid big waiting cues.

Most reviews on here are great, and I agree. This is one of the best zoos I've ever seen. The animals are well looked after and seem pleased. It's not every day you'll see most of these animals. Great way to spend a day, while visiting Prague. I felt a Jurassic Park vibe here with the surrounding plants, trees and foliage. Highly recommended.

It was s very interesting experience, something that made me feel that I travelled back in time. There were too many people for my taste - the only minus. It was a romantic trip for us as we went also up in another tower and discovered parts of the city together for the first time. We took photos and watched the clock. The tower is very old but the clock functions very well. The food that we tasted in that square was also good. For me it was a trip full of nice surprises at personal level so I have great souvenirs that will be lasting.

I've been visiting Prague for 30 years, its a fascinating and beautiful city that's constantly changing, one of the most historic and beautiful district's is Lesser Town .
The Lesser Town ( Lesser Quarter ) is an old district being founded in 1257,its located in the Castle District ( Hradcany) and is such an amazing area ,architecture is unbelievably beautiful, if you start exploring the area from Malostranske Namesti ( Lesser Town Square) you can take in the beautiful buildings that form this square and the stunning St Nicholas Church, great walking area's are found in this district including Petrin Hill and Kampa Island , throughout this district are an amazing amount of pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants ,its just an amazing district to visit if you're planning a holiday to Prague.

During a walk in Prague’s Jewish Quarter, we visited the Spanish Synagogue. Now a museum, filled with poignant exhibits relating the struggles of the Jews of Middle Europe, the synagogue is also one of the most beautiful houses of worship anywhere. Dubbed the Spanish Synagogue for its impressive Moorish architecture, it is the newest of Prague’s synagogue, built in the 19th century. But it is rich in its splendid interior and in the history it tells in its many exhibits. This is well worth seeing on any visit to Prague.

Lobkowicz Palace is a wonderful and historic building in the stunning Prague Castle complex, its the only privately owned building in Prague Castle and is home to the famous Lobkowicz Museum.
Constructed in the late 16th century by the Czech nobleman Jaroslav Of Perstejn, its a great building to explore, most distinctive feature of this palace building is the beautiful stone tower ,all in all its a great place to check out if you're in Prague Castle.

Spectacular ceilings. You have to pay a small entrance fee but absolutely worth it. The paintings on the ceilings are spectacular. Via a staircase access to the first level with great views. Worth a visit.

Definitely see a concert at the Municpal House. We thoroughly enjoyed a one hour 8pm performance of selections from Mozart and Dvorak. We wore jeans and sneakers. We bought the tickets at the box office. The area around the Municipal House was quite busy even after the performance (I think it was a Tuesday night).

We also had lunch at one of the restaurants, which I recommend (it was the one on the left when entering the building).

Also, try to see the building in the twilight... it looks amazing with the dark blue sky.
