When Philippe III le Hardi roi de France was born on 3 April 1245, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Yvelines, Île-de-France, France, his father, St. Louis IX roi de France, was 30 and his mother, Marguerite de Provence reine de France, was 24. He married Isabel de Aragón on 28 May 1262, in Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne, France. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He died on 5 October 1285, in Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, at the age of 40, and was buried in Saint-Jacques, Guadeloupe.
