Forever

Forever is a posthumous album by the late rapper, Phife Dawg (of A Tribe Called Quest fame), who had unfortunately died on March 22nd, 2016, due to complications related to diabetes. It was released on March 22, 2022.

This marks the second and, possibly, the final studio album Phife has released, following his debut record Ventilation: Da LP, released back in September 2000.

The final track-list includes the likes of Busta Rhymes, Redman, his group-mate and close friend Q-Tip, Rapsody and many more, with the production being handled from the likes of the late J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Angela Winbush, as well as the album’s executive producer, DJ Rasta Root.

Two singles were released prior to the album’s release: “Nutshell Pt. 2” and “French Kiss Trois.” A reprise version of “Dear Dilla” (which was speculated to be on the album) is also a part of the album.
