Lady Gaga only just unveiled the title of her fifth album ‘Joanne’ and quickly follows up with the project’s official artwork.

Due October 21st via Interscope, the LP follows 2013’s ‘ARTPOP’ and is ushered in by anthemic new single ‘Perfect Illusion.’
During an interview today on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio, Mother Monster revealed that the album’s title is her middle name as well that of her late aunt – from who she draws strength and inspiration.
Mark Ronson serves as ‘Joanne’s executive producer; confirmed collaborators including RedOne, Florence Welch, Beck, BloodPop and Kevin Parker.

Born This Way is still her best album, her most unoriginal but her best body of work, it’s not a masterpiece or anything like that but is a great record nonetheless.
Born This Way debuted at #1 based on hype, that’s true but it’s also normal, she became the world’s biggest pop star with The Fame Monster, the whole Bad Romance moment was her peak IMO, so people were expecting something huge from her.

I like the fact that she’s not trying too hard this new era, she knows the state her career is in, all this simplicity is just a calculated move, a smart one, we all know how much she wants to be on top again. But she needs to play her cards right, she’s doing everything right so far ( although the lead single says otherwise) the only thing she needs is the hardest thing to get, PEOPLE’S Support, I think people are just not interested in her, not as s pop star and not as a musician, like they won’t support her even if she released The Fame part 2, which says a lot about how much loyal people are these days to music artists.

Now, about that platinum album, that wasn’t due to pure sales though. LG sold 800k in pure sales, which is far more impressive than those overrated free streams.
HDD has the receipts right there on their Upcoming Releases page that it hasn’t sold 800K. Badlands is over 400K in pure sales. That’s excellent for a new artist in 2015-2016 whose first hit wasn’t until a year after the album’s release. Thanks for your concern though.
Anyways, sales are dead. Damn near every artist that isn’t A-list is struggling to go gold in pure sales. Excuses. HDD be off sometimes. Billboard been stated that LG’s album sold 800k. Everything that you stated about Heliums album was already noted. It did good for a new artist. Almost gold in pure sales & it’s still selling. Sales are robust for certain artists. If you have radio support, promo & label support you’ll earn success. It’s that simple. There are quite a few country artists doing good sales wise as well along with a few other bands.
What excuses? HDD’s numbers are usually a few thousand off at the absolute most. There’s no way it’s at 800K when it was under 700K when it left the Billboard 200.
I’m not against pure sales at all, but when albums are top ten on the sales chart while selling less than 10K and many albums (Views and Anti especially) are spending months in the top ten while selling 6-7K a week, it’s pretty clear that streaming has taken over.
But yes, country is probably the best selling genre album wise in the US.

Wow so she is really going back to basics. The cover reminds me of some rock-indie albums from the 90s. At first it looked a little bit too simple to me but it is definitely good. Most exciting thing is Beck, Florence and all those are on this album. Gaga is a true music artist.
