This is a great hotel that really catered to the SCI Convention crowd even though the main convention itself was not at this location. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful and the two restaurants we ate at were wonderful. Would definitely recommend the Bimini restaurant to anyone staying at the hotel.

We spent a week at the Peppermill. This is a really nice hotel with good restaurants and some nice bars. We especially enjoyed the large videos playing all over. They definitely give you the travel bug. Our room was quite nice, staff helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurants was quite good and reasonably priced. The whole facility is very clean and well maintained. Room prices were about what you would expect. Would stay there again.
It used to be a very good hotel.. we used to Clem here every year. This is the first year when I’m So disappointed I’m never coming back here ever.
Starting from check in, it didn’t stop disappointments:
I booked spa suite. Specifically spa suite. Got here and check in lady told me they’re out of spa suites. After half an hour of complains, she tells me she’ll “upgrade” me to grand suite on 16th floor. Than they lead me to my room. She took me to 4th floor in regular room with view to construction.
After I told her I’m not staying there, she said I hAve to call hotel manager. I called and he said in 10 minute they’ll take me to 16th floor grand suite and apologized. 45 MINUTES LATER someone knocks on my Door and says she’s sorry but we have to stay there. I told her she was out of her mind and called manager again. He said he made a mistake and that suite wasn’t available so I had to stay in tHat construction site overlooking basic 4th floor room. Went downstairs and after another 30 minutes of te Yelling, another manager found availability on 17th floor. Keep in mind, it took me 4 hours to check in after driving for 4 hours from San Francisco.
Today, we went to Cafe Milano for lunch aaaand.. they brought me RAW pork chops. I tried to order desert in 2 different places inside the Peppermill and none of the places offered plate to eat a damn cake. They were giving BOXES and suggesting to eat from box.
This is not a Peppermill, it’s a MOTEL nowadays..

Stayed here for our last convention in Reno. It was a very nice experience, room was the standard. Staff is very pleasant and attentive. If we ever return I will be sure to stay at the Peppermill again.

I’ve been to a lot of casinos and I know Reno is NOT VEGAS, but the Peppermill, Reno, Nevada is the place to go! The dealers are great and offer a good vibe. Especially Mike “from New York”. He was great in every way. I’ve met a handful of pit bosses in my time playing the tables and he’s the one that takes the cake. Thanks Mike and Peppermill for a great time. See ya soon!
