Pavia is located within a few blocks from my office near Faneuil Hall. I have popped in for a takeaway lunch several times and always order the small Aranche salad. Yesterday at work, we decided to have an impromptu Christmas lunch and so I ordered Baked Ziti, a salad and small pizza from Pavia at 11:30 for a 12:30 delivery. The restaurant not only accommodated my last minute order, but the young man arrived on time with plenty of plates, cutlery, napkins along with the food which was quite good and plentiful. The refrigerator is packed with leftover pizza. I was incredibly impressed with Pavia's prompt and courteous service and will not hesitate to recommend it, if it's just for a quick lunch for one or a catered lunch for six.

Pavia had a slow start in the business lunch community. Now they crank out the carbs. The line might look long but they move it. Italian lunch food is needed reguarly, yes? They have it. Lots? Modest cost. Filling. Tasty and large quanities. Try the Meatball sandwich, yum.

I have been to Pavia several times to try different things off their menu, and I have yet to find anything that could be described as decent. Salads are made with scant amounts of topping, hot sandwiches feature nearly nonexistent seasonings, and the pasta and sauce dishes are nothing special. Competition in this neighborhood is heating up due to the presence of food trucks just up the street, and Pavia just doesn't cut it. No one expects gourmet from a take-out lunch place in the heart of a business district, but for the price this place should be skipped.

This is a busy lunch spot for salads and wraps in the Financial District. The service if fast and efficient and there is a good choice including daily specials. I ordered a shrimp salad (large) - it was ok but really a ton of lettuce and about 5 or 6 shrimp. Essentially the salad was lettuce, olives, a few artichokes, feta cheese and a handful of shrimp on top. Not bad, but nothing special either.
