So much for so little!

Coworkers encouraged me to visit this hole in the wall on a dark block of Water Street, so I went there for lunch today. Thought about a nice looking slice or two of Pepperoni Pizza for $3.50 or so, then saw the Chicken Lasagna --...a hunk of that for about $7, including tax. I got the smallest one on the tray, and I bet it was 12-14 ounces. NEVER should have finished it for lunch, got nothing done the rest of the day. Thank goodness I turned down the huge hunk of bread! Friendly staff, good quality, quick service.More

Busy Italian sandwich shop

Loved this place. The office I was working in was just over the round from it. Loads of choice of sandwiches, wraps, pizza and salads. Gets super busy and is quite loud but is uber efficient.

Great, Affordable Downtown Lunch Spot!

After sharing with one of my friends that I was sick of the lack of affordable lunch options in the Fort Point and Financial District, he told me about Pavio, I place that I had never even heard of. But after looking it up and...heading there a few times, I can honestly say that this might be one of the best lunch options in the area, hands down... As long as you're willing to be patient. This place churns out a monumental amount of food during the lunch service and gets absolutely crushed. Try to visualize lines 25 people deep, of people waiting for salads, sandwiches, wraps as well as pizza and pasta. The lines don't move very quickly since most items are made to order but it's all worth it and you'll probably never spend over $10 on lunch, something that one should appreciate while in the area. Every salad I've had from there has been great and I highly recommend it. I just wish that they re-arranged the place a bit so it had a better flow to it. Lots of people waiting to order are being blocked by people waiting for the food to order. It's a bit chaotic... but worth it.More

Meh - I would not eat here again.

On business and they just ordered several sandwiches from this place. The steak in the steak sandwich was so tough. It was inedible. The tuna salad was meh, absolutely no flavor. Maybe you need to eat inside for a better experience.

Good food and Great Staff

Pavia is located within a few blocks from my office near Faneuil Hall. I have popped in for a takeaway lunch several times and always order the small Aranche salad. Yesterday at work, we decided to have an impromptu Christmas lunch and so I ordered...Baked Ziti, a salad and small pizza from Pavia at 11:30 for a 12:30 delivery. The restaurant not only accommodated my last minute order, but the young man arrived on time with plenty of plates, cutlery, napkins along with the food which was quite good and plentiful. The refrigerator is packed with leftover pizza. I was incredibly impressed with Pavia's prompt and courteous service and will not hesitate to recommend it, if it's just for a quick lunch for one or a catered lunch for six.More

Post Lunch Nap time

Pavia had a slow start in the business lunch community. Now they crank out the carbs. The line might look long but they move it. Italian lunch food is needed reguarly, yes? They have it. Lots? Modest cost. Filling. Tasty and large quanities. Try the...Meatball sandwich, yum.More

Almost any other restaurant in the neighborhood is better

I have been to Pavia several times to try different things off their menu, and I have yet to find anything that could be described as decent. Salads are made with scant amounts of topping, hot sandwiches feature nearly nonexistent seasonings, and the pasta and...sauce dishes are nothing special. Competition in this neighborhood is heating up due to the presence of food trucks just up the street, and Pavia just doesn't cut it. No one expects gourmet from a take-out lunch place in the heart of a business district, but for the price this place should be skipped.More

Not bad - could be better

This is a busy lunch spot for salads and wraps in the Financial District. The service if fast and efficient and there is a good choice including daily specials. I ordered a shrimp salad (large) - it was ok but really a ton of lettuce...and about 5 or 6 shrimp. Essentially the salad was lettuce, olives, a few artichokes, feta cheese and a handful of shrimp on top. Not bad, but nothing special either.More
