Experian's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Paul Brooks has passed away, the credit-checking and information services firm revealed on Monday.
According to Experian's statement, Brooks, who joined the group as Finance Director of its former International division back in 1999, died suddenly over the weekend at his home in California.
"Paul was a great friend, a talented colleague and an inspirational leader and will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of working and dealing with him," said Chairman Sir John Peace.

"Our immediate thoughts are with his wife and family and we will do everything we can to support them at this difficult time," Peace added.
Brooks was also a non-executive director at FTSE 100 outsourcing giant Serco, whose Chairman Alastair Lyons said this morning - "Paul joined the Serco Group board just one year ago and immediately became a much valued colleague. He will be greatly missed by all of us and our sincerest condolences are with Paul's family."
