How to Visit the Pantheon: What We’ll Cover

Every time. Every single time. It doesn’t matter if it is my first time or my millionth, every time I enter the Pantheon, it takes my breath away. It is one of the undoubted superstars of Rome. But from July 23rd, you now need to purchase a ticket for a timed entrance slot. In this guide, I’ll cover the following;

When is the Pantheon Open

• The Pantheon is open every day from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm (last entry 6.45 pm). Times may vary in accordance with special religious celebrations.
  
• Access is free on the first Sunday of each month.
  
• The Pantheon is closed on January 1st, August 15th, and December 25th.

How Much Does it Cost to Go In the Pantheon

• Adults Over 25: €5.
  
• Adults Between 18 and 25: €3 (proof of age may be requested).
  
• Under 18’s and Residents of Rome: Free, but a ticket is still required.

How Do I Buy Tickets For the Pantheon

You can turn up and stand in line, where both contactless and cash payments are accepted. However, if you’re looking for a seamless and stress-free visit, we recommend booking a skip-the-line tour in advance.

How Do I Get to the Pantheon

• By Bus: The Buses n° 30, 40, 62, 64, 81, 87, and 492: get off at the Largo di Torre Argentina stop, which is about 500 yards from the Pantheon.
  
• By Metro: The nearest Metro station Barberini on the Metro A line, is located around 1000 yards from the Pantheon.
