Will not be returning. Great breakfast but owner Keith not very customer friendly. Use to have earl gray tea but no longer do. When asked if we could bring our own he replied NO I just threw someone out for that. We are here to...make money! WOW whatever happened to customer service. Had been going there nearly every Sunday for the last year. So sorry Keith, you won't be making money from us anymore with that attitude! Too cheap to buy more earl gray tea? Can't make money if you don't have it to sell.More

I am not sure where to start. When we got there the waitress seemed really nice took my drink order (water and orange juice). I received both. That is where the good ended. My over medium/hard eggs were burnt, I received rye toast instead of...white, the home-fries where just gross, not sure what they put on them but it was not good. I ordered crispy bacon and received barely cooked bacon. Two of the three friends with me also had order issues. A missing side and a breakfast sandwich that had almost nothing in it. After the initial water for each of us and my orange juice we were never asked if we needed anything else to drink, our cups were empty for most of the meal. Our friend who was having a specialty coffee got 3 refills I had to stop the waitress and ask for more water during one of these refills, though she nearly walked away without responding. No one ever asked how our food was. And when the food corrections were brought out it was by a different waitress and not timely.More

We were "regulars". The owner, Keith, has to be the rudest person running a business. He basically told me he did not care when I brought a simple concern to him. Think he spends too much time drinking at the bar to pay attention to...what is going on. The Stables, at the former location of this business, is so much better,,,food and serviceMore

The burger was good although they only have you a small amount of fries. The chicken kabob came with rice pilaf and a vegetable. The rice pilaf was crunchy and you only got one skewer (about 6 bites) of chicken. It was not worth the...$18. It was more of a lunch size portion of food.More

have been waiting to try this place for a while and finally had the chance. went for a late breakfast with the kiddos and waited at the door for a while... a few servers walked by with no one greeting us... a be right with...you would suffice. anyway finally got sat, ordered, and waited and waited. no coffee refills, assuring that it was coming.... nothing. over 30 mins later finally got our breakfasts... nothing to write home about... i get you are busy... put an extra waitress on. or maybe instead of only talking to friends, family, and regulars, the manager should check on new customers and make them feel just as welcomed. i felt like the odd woman out and probably won't be back for an overpriced breakfast. customer service is everything and they don't have it... unless you know them apparently.More

We experienced a warm greeting from our attentive waitress and expected to enjoy a good meal. However, that never happened. My fillet of haddock was so small that I almost couldn't find it under the vegetables. I also overheard another customer ask her waitress "where's...the fish"? My dessert was a strawberry short cake. But the short cake was a biscuit with a couple strawberries and whipped cream. A knife was necessary to cut the biscuit. Another insult was when we got our credit card statement, someone had increased our tip amount above the 15% that I had added to the bill. It took some time for to write this up because I was so upset by the whole experience.More

Newly relocated to Three Rivers, Burgundy Brook is relocated and recreated to please like never before, and they always pleased before, so the difference now is new cozy interior and Killer good brick oven wood fired Pizza, plus a dinner menu which was not in...the offering at the old location. So when you look at the whole package it looks something like this.. Breakfast is serious eats if you like a small breakfast check. Something more hearty check if crazy and big yup. I have been a fan of haley's hash it over , Mad Moose, The Hannah Scramble and for crazy big go Hungry Hunter, then go home to sleep it off. With 5 main categories, Freshly made pastries, breads, sides and assorted beverage choices You Simply can't go home Not satisfied. That was the short story on breakfast, to be certain go check it for yourself I really don't think you will find better anywhere around the area. Lunch I have not had the chance to try out, but judging from the menu and how the owners, Keith & Inna Gordon are hands on to all aspects of this jewel of an eatery it goes without saying that attention to details will result in a delicious lunch ... But now I must say that after all the breakfasts I've eaten over the years at Burgundy Brook I didn't think I would ever be reviewing them on the dinner circuit. I'm pleased to say that time is now!!! So thank you for bringing dinner to the table, and with it some really great wood fire oven pizza. My first dinner went like this. Nichole T. waited my table. A superb and thoughtful young woman who helped me throughout dinner set me up with water and menu along with some fresh hot bread and inarguably some of the best tasting herb and pepper infused olive oil I've had , period. While I had that I awaited the French onion soup in a mug cheese croutons and lots of onions in a well developed beefy broth. It was satisfying. Also as an appetizer I was drawn to the Pan fried, lightly battered Calamari, which was to be served with a balsamic and pepper sauce. I asked to have a traditional marinara sauce instead with the peppers left intact. That was really delicious. Lastly, actually not (I had desert) but next was the entre portion of tonight's performance I ordered the pork cutlet. Two nicely pounded breaded pan sauteed cutlets atop a mashed potato with a savory and complimentary sauce made this almost too much for me so I opted to take home 1/2 for lunch the next day, good choice... Yes I saved room for desert and coffee which I did not save any for the next day... It was......... Made by Inna ..... Carrot Cake with a cream cheese frosting that was moist flavorful and everything I'm looking for in carrot cake.. That's my story and I'm glad to say that was only my first installment, as 2 nights later my wife and I ordered our first ever from Burgundy Brook Cafe wood oven fire pizza and it was meat lovers with mushroom peppers and onions added. I watch my pizza monger make and bake a masterful pie. Loved it. Pictures will follow this review if space allows. Go eat and be happy at Burgundy Brook. MrQ129 Trip AdvisorMore

My wife & I decided on a whim to stop in for lunch this past Tuesday. We'd passed it several times and it looked too cute NOT to try it. First impression, it's as adorable inside and out. Visually, everything you could want for a...farm-style cafe. That was the good... We sat several minutes without anyone coming to greet us or get a drink order. Finally, someone asked what we'd like to drink. Shortly after our drink arrived our server (not the person who took our drink order) arrived. My wife had some questions and we felt the server was curt and bothered by the simple questions. We placed our orders, my wife went with a lobster roll special and I went with some sandwich with turkey, corned beef and roast beef (don't remember the name), and a side of corned beef hash. While we waited for our food, we could hear our server become aggravated (loudly) with one of the other staff. Our food came, the gas was very good! My sandwich looked and tasted like a poor Scholtzky's sandwich. "OK" at best but not "Bad". My wife's lobster roll was a mess! Very little lobster and a huge roll (making the lobster seem less). She said the sandwich wasn't good either and was salty and had too much celery, overpowering the flavor. We never saw our server again until the end of the meal. No check back, nothing. My wife stated her issues with the lobster roll (minus the single bite she took) and asked if be taken off the bill. No problem. Then, from behind the counter, we heard the server argue that the lobster roll was fine and nothing was wrong with it. Really? Arguing, even passively with a guest? We also found out the rude server was the MANAGER! Really?!?! I've been in food service for 23 years. I've heard every position in a restaurant. I have worked for some of the best names in service (think a Mouse!) I moved to New England last year, and this was single-handedly our WORST dining experience since moving. Just rude, unnecessary service. We shall not return and cannot recommend anyone else do the same.More

Stopped by on a fall Saturday morning. We initially sat inside but they had the AC set at 60 degrees so we moved to the enclosed porch. Menus and coffee were brought quickly and we ordered our breakfast. We very immediately noticed how sticky the...plastic table cloth was even though it had been wiped down before we were seated. Paper place mats were brought out and we commented to the waitress how sticky the table was. When I moved my arm so she could put down the placemat I discovered my arm had turned red where the dye from the plastic table cloth had come off on me. The only reaction from the waitress was to comment that the table cloths are old and perhaps should be replaced. She did tell someone who I assume was the manager but there was no reaction from him nor did he come to the table. When my cinnamon apple pancakes came out they had a 1/4 cup of little pieces of stone cold apples with "a little" cinnamon on top of them. Why would you put uncooked, ice cold apples on hot pancakes? I guess that's what they view cinnamon apple pancakes are but it's certainly not what I was expecting. That said, the pancakes themselves were ok and had a few pieces of apple in them. I grabbed the fake maple syrup and the outside of the container was covered. I no longer had a napkin as I had used mine to try to wipe off the red dye from the table cloth and did not get a replacement. (You can get real maple syrup for an additional $2.00.) As we were finishing our coffee we noticed a napkin had been dropped on the floor not far from our table. The bus boy walked past, saw the napkin, stepped over it and kept walking. My wife counted 15 times that he stepped over the napkin making no effort to pick it up. Eventually the presumed manager walked by and picked it up. We commented to him about the busboy and the response was "yeah, I've feel like a mother hen around here..." Seems to me the job of a manager is to train the staff. The couple at the next table were chuckling and told us they too had noticed the napkin, that it sat on the floor while staff passed by, and the apparent lack of training. Overall the food was ok but the sticky tables and general lack of concern for good service and cleanliness will keep us from returning.More

Sorry but this place isn't what it is billed to be.... Tables and silverware sticky and dirty... Menu not what it seems... Banana nut pancakes in my mind are not 5 thinly sliced pieces of bananas with walnuts thrown on top... Flies buzzing around and...a blasie attitude of the waitress when pointing out dirty silverware.... Maple syrup bottle stuck to my hands so bad I dropped my fork... Will never go back... Couldn't believe the place was packed when I left... Although this IS Palmer MassMore
