Great are to stay when in BAires
We selected this area for a stay in Buenos Aires and it was fantastic! We wanted to stay close to nice restaurants, bars and coffee shops for brunch and definitively this was the right place for that! We really enjoyed as everything was reachable at a walking distance.

Palermo neighborhood has a lot to offer
In doing my research before coming to Buenos Aires I decided to stay three nights in Recoleta neighborhood and three nights in Palermo. We felt safe walking around Soho at all hours. There are many good restaurants and coffee shops. We went to two street markets where my wife found a leather purse and we bought two paintings from an artist from Patagonia. We took an Uber to Villa Crespo to shop for leather. Palermo was a neighborhood that had a lot to offer.

    Fantastic neighborhood--shopping, food, street art
Really enjoyed our time in this Buenos Aires neighborhood. So much so that we went back for more later in our trip! The area is good to visit during the day and in the evening. We did a food tour during our evening visit, and that was a really good way to get a feel for the neighborhood and its many eateries and bars. We stayed in the area afterward and hit-up a couple of cool places for cocktails. During our daytime visit, we enjoyed the many boutiques and shops and found ourselves taking photos of the wide array of cool and colorful street art. Lots of cool restaurants, featuring various cuisines, ranging from pretty casual spots to more formal establishments. The area was full of locals and visitors during both our daytime and nighttime visits, and we always felt safe. Very vibrant area.

We do our research and Palermo Soho was highly rated. We are not city visitors, preferring the wild, but always find wonderful surprises. This neighborhood worked well for our six nights entering and exiting Argentina. Our boutique, 7-room stays at Miravida Soho could not be beat and local bistro Las Pizarras was as amazing as in every way. A walk or short taxi ride brought us to parks, gardens, and museums; a bit further afield were th sights on all the top-ten lists. But Buenos Aires is not really "the Paris of Anywhere" and in our opinion is not worth a special trip, but it does work well as a place to rest up from 24 hours of flights, airports, and time zones; enjoy good food (and wine), ; and be among really nice people.

This area is grunge style filled with grafitti everywhere and many dilapidated and dated buildings. It is not similar to NYC Soho. I would avoid staying here with a fami!y. There are bars and happy hours everywhere but no dhops and its not walking distance to tourist sites. Yes a taxi only costs 2-5 us dollars but there is a 15+min drive to get to general destinations. Apparently the area used to be in really. ad shape and there are still signs of this with ppl sleeping in the street and literally crawling through the large garbage bins. Stay in Palermo near a major site or. earFlorida street.

Came here to check out the street life at dusk, as my first place visiting in Buenos Aires (Argentina for that matter) just hours after landing in the city.

We parallel parked on a nearby street (if you can find a spot if you can, it's free everywhere apparently) and walked around for an hour. There are jewelry stores, restaurants, beer houses, ice cream places, nic-nac stores, and everything else that fits the bill. Walk around, check out menus, and if the mood strikes you go in and have a merienda (snack) or a beer. Or sit for dinner (typically 930pm start).

Safe vibe but bustling a bit, locals say to keep your wallet and cell phones in your front pocket for safety. We were fine though, but good advice is always good to heed. Very nice area!

We took the Subte and walked to this area. Very hip and nice living here. Restaurants, boutiques, and artist selling wares on the weekend. A lovely area for a meal or just a walk around a different part of the city. Subte is very easy to negotiate even if you don’t speak Spanish.

We stayed a month in Argentina and in between our travels, we came back to BA 3 times to stay in Palermo (which we loved). We toured all of the neighborhoods in BA and decided this one suited us best.

It is open and feels less city and crowded. There is a lot of restaurants and walking around at night was great. (like Soho, or the Village in NYC).

Stayed at 3 boutique hotels: The Mine, Magnolia Hotel and Hotel Nuss, all of which were nice, although I think I liked the Nuss best. The Concierge,Claudio at the Mine had great suggestions and did get us a reservation at Don Julio with 1 days notice.

A really cute neighborhood and great to walk to the Jardin Japonais, or the Botanical Gardens, some of the Museums.

Palermo, Palermo, Palermo. SoHo, Hollywood or other is the place to be if you like the more casual lifestyle. Recoleta is more contrived like Upper East Side, NYC. I love the bars, bistros, restaurants, art scene, small grocery stores, and street life. You can choose the food you like in any section of this neighborhood, also theater, movies and wine cellars! I’ve stayed here three times already... will return!

We were very impressed by this part of BA. Great shopping at very reasonable prices overall , wonderful cafe , bars & restaurants. amazing ambience & felt very safe walking around for hours. Brightly coloured Bohemian buildings. Will definitely return when we have more time.
