Weather Situation
A large high pressure system [1032 hPa] moving slowly across the Great Australian Bight extends a weak ridge across South Queensland Waters. A low pressure system may form off the central Queensland coast later this weekend and combine with the ridge, to enhance wind and swells along central and southern Queensland coast. A coastal trough may also form near the southern Queensland coast over the weekend, before shifting offshore with the low pressure system early next week.

- East to southeasterly 15 to 25 knots tending south to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots during the afternoon and evening. Winds reaching up to 30 knots offshore during the afternoon and evening.

- Easterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore during the afternoon.
