It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Alan O'Keefe of Jeffersonville, Indiana, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 9, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert O'Keefe and Mildred O'Keefe (Schmitt); his sisters-in-law, Theresa and Sarah Fetter; and his nephews, Tony Nero and Jason Brock.
He is survived by : his wife Elaine O'Keefe (Fetter); his siblings, Linda Porter (John), Robert O'Keefe (Janet) and Karen Laferty (Michael); his sisters-in-law, Ellen Nero (Anthony) and Maureen Brock (George); his nieces and nephews, Riayn Dobson (Chris), Andrew Porter (Debbie), Jordan Laferty, Kyle Laferty (Anna), Kaitlyn Laferty, Ashley Reichert (Bryan), Andrew Nero, Dianne Sedwick (Jason), Cory Sawyer (Brittany), Jessica Demoss (Ben) and Amy Sawyer; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Will, Oliver, Anthony, Clara, Brandon, Amber, Trinity, Ethen, Lexi, Haley, Hayze, Cheyenne and Hannah.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 15th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
