On campus, students can get involved in more than 50 clubs or intramural sports, such chess and pickleball, a cousin of badminton. Students also participate in numerous campus events, including singing competitions, formal dances and the annual Clash of the Classes between the academic grade levels. Northwestern's athletics program includes more than 15 Red Raiders varsity sports teams, which compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Great Plains Athletic Conference.
