Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First off 5 stars for the zoo but 0 stars for Junes Food Court as fish & chips was bloody almost cold

Back to the zoo going round with wheelchair was a dozzle, place was spotless, boat ride with wheelchair was relaxing with staff following H&S to get chair on/off, although it says 3 hours we were there for 6 en half hours, got told it’s a 12 mile walk around zoo (as a postie no problem lol) wether that’s right I don’t know but zoo is massive, loads of parking spaces even for disabled, will come back next March but will bring our own food then

Loved the Albert Dock. A great choice of restaurants and cafes. Also wonderful views of the sea. Lots of atmosphere. Really enjoyed walking around the area. Some local shops too.

We had a great day. The rides are top quality with enough variety for everyone to enjoy. So much is crammed in that you don't have to walk too far. The staff were friendly, helpful and ride operations were smooth. Our only criticism is that although the park opens at 10, the bigger rides didn't open until later. Closing at 5 felt early too

What a fabulous way to tell the story of the most famous bunch of guys from Liverpool who became and still are the greatest known band in the world, you just have to go and take it all in.

Lovely visit to a beautiful library. It was over Easter weekend so relatively busy, as in we had to queue. It is really interesting to see the figures inside and think about the history of Manchester. Wish I’d spent more time there when I was a student in Manchester.

Blackpool Zoo is a zoo located on the outskirts of Blackpool. It is possible to get a bus to and from the Zoo to a pub called the Halfway House but then you would need to get another bus from there back to the centre of Blackpool. We set off to get the bus using the instructions on the Zoo's website but I thought they were quite confusing and as it was a Sunday when we set off, when we got to the appropriate bus stop, we had around 45 minutes to wait which is the same amount of time it would take to walk it - so we did. It is quite a pleasant walk taking in leafy residential streets and a couple of large parks. We struck lucky with the weather so it was nice enough to do the walk both there and back but I would not recommend doing this if you have mobility issues.

I had not been to a zoo for probably around 30 years so I was not sure what to expect and we had never done the one in Blackpool so it was good to see it. Costing around £50 for two adults (and another £9 for two coffees), we were there for about 2 hours and it was definitely worth the money.

It was great to see the different types of animals that there were from a tortoise carrying an iguana that would not get off its' back to the Gorillas on Gorilla Island eating their lunch. From the bright colours of the flamingos to the towering heights of the giraffes, it is great to be able to wander round and see species I had only ever read about or seen on TV.

It is big enough to keep you entertained but small enough you cannot get lost and there are different places around the park to get snacks, food and drink so you will not go hungry or melt in the hot weather.

Overall, I think it is a great addition to Blackpool and definitely worth seeking out to do - especially when the weather is good.
