Nina Dobrev Celebrates Her 'Redo' Birthday as Boyfriend Shaun White Shares Sweet Tribute

Happy (second) 31st birthday, Nina Dobrev!

The Vampire Diaries alum turned 32 on Saturday, joking in the caption of an Instagram post — which featured a montage of adorable throwback birthday home videos — that she was turning 31 again because last year "didn't count."

"I'm so excited to be turning 31 (again) today! 🥳 (because i think we can all agree 2020 didn't count, so I'll be taking a redo)," Dobrev wrote.

The actress added, "2021 better get its s--- together quick otherwise it'll still be my 31st birthday next year too ... "

Dobrev's boyfriend, Shaun White, celebrated Dobrev's big day by sharing a rare set of photos of the couple, dressed in '80s-style attire and striking silly poses for the camera.

"Too bad we never have any fun together ... 😉 Happy birthday baby! 🥂🎉," he captioned the Instagram post.

Dobrev and White, 34, were first linked last March when they were spotted riding bikes together in Malibu, California. The pair went Instagram official with their relationship in May, when White shared a video of the actress cutting his hair.

In December, the two spent some time on the Colorado slopes. White documented the trip on social media, sharing a photo of himself catching some air on his snowboard as Dobrev stood below, posing for the camera.

"@nina get out of my shot," the athlete captioned his photo.

Dobrev took the joke in stride, commenting back, "On the contrary. It was the perfect shot until you blocked my light."

The actress and Olympic gold medalist celebrated their first Christmas together as a couple later that month. White shared an Instagram post from the celebration, which included a photo of himself and Dobrev wearing matching Santa hats.

"Happy holidays everyone!" he captioned the post.

Dobrev and White also spent Thanksgiving together the previous month.

"I'm so thankful to be surrounded by so much love!! Getting older and watching my family continue to grow has been incredible. Hope everyone out there had an amazing thanksgiving!" the snowboarder wrote on Instagram at the time, sharing photos from his family's celebration — including several of Dobrev.
