Katharine McPhee's 'bitter' ex Nick Cokas will 'cash in' on her $700K cheque... as she 'moves on' with British star Elyes Gabel
They had a particularly nasty break up.
But Katharine McPhee's relationship with estranged husband Nick Cokas may be about to take a turn for the even worse.
According to TMZ, he is on the brink of raking in a lot of cash from the 30-year-old after she filed for divorce in May .

The website states that Columbia/Epic Records currently owe Katharine a whopping $700K pay cheque.
However, because it's conceded as community property, she will have to hand over half of the money to Nick.
It looks unlikely that he'll happily let her keep the hefty earnings to herself as he’s said to still be furious with the star for allegedly cheating on him.
Following their split, Nick has accused the actress of betraying him during their six-year marriage by having an affair with director Michael Morris, who she worked with on NBC's musical series Smash - which has since been cancelled.

Pictures of Katharine kissing the married director created a scandal when they were published in October last year. However, she allegedly insisted that she and Nick were separated at the time the photos were taken.
Bizarrely, despite the former couple's understandably rocky relationship, they are said to be still joined at the hip. He's still her manager and apparently intends to continue his role until his contract ends sometime next year.
That news probably won't sit too well former Casualty actor Elyes Gabel, who is her current boyfriend.

Us Weekly recently confirmed that the British actor was in a relationship with Katharine after the two were caught canoodling on the set of their upcoming CBS series Scorpion.
She was all over the 31-year-old heartthrob during filming in August, going as far as to grab hold of his buttocks while leaning into him and kissing his neck.
Katharine seemed almost giddy with happiness, prancing around the Game Of Thrones actor and whispering in his ear.
At one point she even performed a cartwheel as he looked on, no doubt in admiration.
