Nicholas Hamilton opened up about his coming-out story during an interview with Stay Vibrant magazine on January 18, 2021.

An openly gay actor, Hamilton has always identified as a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.

The interviewer asked what it was like to embrace his orientation in front of his parents and the public eye. To which, the 21-year-old star replied he was fortunate to have a boring coming-out story.

Nicholas Hamilton's Coming Out Story

Born in Lismore, Australia, Hamilton grew up in a pretty accepting community, though he admits Australia is behind the times on such sensitive matters. The friendly community eased his path to embody his true self.

And courtesy of his supportive parents — father Craig Hamilton and mother Vicki Atkins — being gay for him was just as normal as being straight. His parents accepted him wholeheartedly, and his extended family and friends followed suit.

Thankfully, the support for his choice only amplified when he moved to LA for his professional ventures.

Nicholas Hamilton Doesn't Want His Inclination to Define Him

The IT actor makes sure that his romantic preference isn't the primary factor that defines him.

That's why he has never bothered to come out as gay publicly or make his story sound something extraordinary.

He knows that a simple search on the internet satisfies the curiosity of his followers.

Hamilton believes that gender labels should matter less for the world to be going in the right direction.

Sticking by his belief, he says he would never make an issue out of his inclination. He would never write seven paragraphs detailing his coming-out story.

In a nutshell, the Lismore native yearns for normalcy, not just for people with different orientations but also for people of different races and gender.

Identifying himself as a member of the LGBTIQ+ community, he advocated for the Black Lives Matter movement during the 2020 Pride month. Hamilton took to Twitter to raise his voice for justice to George Floyd on June 1, 2020.

Nicholas Hamilton Split with His Boyfriend in 2020

Hamilton's acting and singing career are reaching new heights with TV projects like Love, Victorand Action Royale and the release of his debut single 'Different Year' on January 10, 2021.

Just like his budding career, his personal life is also quite eventful.

The Captain Fantastic actor, who was single as of November 4, 2017, was in a relationship with Mihali Sergakis in 2019. He attended the red carpet event of It Chapter Two premiere with his boyfriend.

It is unsure how long Hamilton dated Mihali, but during the sit down with Stay Vibrant, he disclosed he went through two break-ups in 2020. Albeit, he did not mention either of his boyfriends.

He stated the splits that happened mid-quarantine taught him a lot about himself and the type of people he would want to hook up with.

Disclosing that he used to fall in love real quick, Hamilton gushed he had learned to control himself from submitting to every attraction.
