About
The crashing waters of Niagara Falls—comprising two American falls and one Canadian—are truly a sight to behold. Get up close on a boat ride (be prepared to get soaked!), enjoy amazing aerial views from the Skylon Tower or on a helicopter tour, stroll along the White Water Walk, or hit the Journey Behind the Falls attraction that offers views of the falls from below and behind. Adventure seekers can also go zip-lining, jet-boating, hiking and cycling with the falls as the backdrop. For a truly magical experience, stay after dark when the falls are illuminated. For peak water flow, visit between June and August. – Tripadvisor

Allow a Day for Canadian Side and be Sure to Buy Combination Passes
Spent second day of our trip visiting Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Definitely want to buy one of the combination passes that includes WeGo busses, incline railway, Journey Behind the Falls, The Fury, the Power Station, the Tunnel, White water Walk, Aero Car. All great but could have passed on the Fury. Bus transportation and Incline were huge pluses particularly with our hotel (Embassy Suites) at the very end. Went with the middle pass but you can go one higher which includes more but for the money, the middle one was perfect for us. Walked from Rainbow Bridge to our hotel and back on leaving, even with suitcase. Lots of chain restaurants but hard to find local cuisine. Did have pizza at Zippys one night.

    Lots to see at Niagara
We loved experiencing Niagara Falls. We did the boat ride and behind the falls, but there are other quality places to visit nearby, as well as a midway with games and go carts for those who want those activities, and a bus system to take you there. Our hotel room had a great view and it was interesting to watch the changes with different light at different times of day.

    Just Wow
I have seen this on YouTube and in photos but you have to see it in person as it’s truly awe inspiring and you get such a feeling of the power of the water. We went early on a Sunday as it gets quite busy after lunchtime. It’s definitely one ticked off my bucket list!

    Amazing
We parked in the big lot at goat island. Horseshoe falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil falls can all be seen here. Goat Island is also where Cave of the Winds is located. The trolley for $3 each will take you to Maid of the Mist and more awesome views. The very best views are from the Canadian side. Also on the Canadian side is the cute little town of Niagara on the Lake. The earlier you can get there in the mornings the less crowded. Only an awesome God could have created something so amazing.

    Fantastic stay!
Upon arrival as always, greeted with a smile and the warm chocolate chip cookies! This is always the best place to stay! The staff is very helpful and attentive! I hotel is very clean and kept that way on a continuous basis. All the attractions are within walking distance and you can even try you luck in the Casino. Only one downfall I can think of at this property, you have to pay for parking of your vehicle during your stay.

    Amazing experience
The falls are stunning and definitely nice to view from both the American and Canadian sides (I personally think it’s prettier from the Canadian side)! Fireworks at night are great too! Lots to do in the area but all quite expensive! I would highly recommend heading to the falls! Go on a boat tour, do the journey beyond the falls tunnels and visit the American side! All give great but different views!

    Beautiful falls
Must see at least once in your life. Beautiful falls. Very touristy and commercialized. But still beautiful to visit. I would recommend the Canadian side. But it’s probably still pretty from the American side because they have a 1/2 bridge going out to see them. Canadian side looks at the falls straight on.

    Niagara Falls Canada
We made the 90 minute trip from Toronto and arrived in Niagara Falls to some on and off rain but this was ok. The power of the falls is incredible to see and the sheer water movement made me glad we had not booked the boat tour. We were there only to see the falls having little interest in the Coney Island like atmosphere of the town around the falls but others may like to overnight here. We parked right across from the falls and entered through the large welcome center.

    Must do bucket list trip!
The falls are majestic- a lifetime must see. Maid of the Mist is a non negotiable. make sure your party does this and goes to upper deck. It’s iconic. Journey Behind the Falls is recommended but don’t let them upsell on other tours. Just take Journey a la carte. Not sure other things are worth it. Photo is $44! No thanks! Fireworks are low so make sure you go to the river by American Falls. 5 mins in duration. The incline is worth the day pass. Table Rock Centre is worth a walk through. House restaurant was convenient, adequate but pricey- and can’t beat that dining view. Falls at night is highly recommended for a stroll. Plusses: Turtle Jacks and Margaritaville were spot on for dinners. Many other options for eating with easy walking distance from lodging. We parked car at hotel and walked everywhere. Bring your step counters and good sneaks. Hotel (Oakes) was ehhh except for highlights of the amazing view and awesome concierge. Lots more to do - we were there two nights.

    Great time
Beautiful sights. Very busy over the weekend of Canada Day and 4th of July. We ate in the Skylon revolving restaurant. Saw the sights and did the boat ride. Went to Niagara on the Lake and it was very nice, quaint town, lots of restaurants and shopping.

Visited Niagara Falls during the holiday season. The Falls were beautifully lite up at night as was the walkway along the Falls. Must stop at Tim Hortons for a cup of Joe or hot chocolate to warm you up. The WEGO buses were great for getting us around when we were to exhausted to walk. Highly recommend the Winter Wonderland pass, gives access to most Tourist activities at a reduced cost.

We took a family day trip to The Falls since it had been 15 years since our last visit. Many beautiful upgrades have been made to the attractions and much effort was made to keep people safe...regular sanitizing, masks required to be worn when indoors, physical separation etc. Found inexpensive parking at the Skylon Tower and was able to walk where we wanted to visit. A picnic under a tree was followed by a visit to the Falls themselves, which is always breathtaking. We did the Journey Behind The Falls which was affordable for the amazing experience of getting up close to the massive waterfall. Next up was a trip to Clifton Hill, since we had a 10 year old with us. Guinness Museum was overpriced even witha CAA discount, masks and gloves were required. Dinosaur Golf was a blast, fun atmosphere for all ages and very inexpensive. FYI...print off any online coupons, the attractions were not accepting the online code version. The Sky Wheel was a great reprieve from the heat, air conditioned cars that were sanitized between uses give a great view of the Falls and the surrounding area, plus a nice, long ride. Great, but pricey dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, then a visit to the Hershey store. All in all a fantastic day. Not too crowded, and everyone seemed to be delighted to enjoy the fun attractions of the area. Some indoor attractions/restaurants are still closed, but most are open for business!!

Fun times visiting one of the world's greatest natural wonders. We stayed for 3 nights in January and one night in February, at the Oakes Hotel. We both live within a 2 hour drive in the GTA, but it never ceases to amaze me how wonderfully fun and romantic this city is. We visited the Bird Sanctuary, The Greg Frewin Magic Show w/dinner, the Fallsview Casino, and the Arcade in Clifton Hills. On another visit, we saw the Conga Show and stayed at the Oakes Hotel again. We ate at the casino buffet, Remington's, Applebee's and IHOP.
I bought the coupons ($10 for $20 discount on food for 2 people) for IHOP from Groupon. I suggest you pass on this because it's still too expensive to eat there after the discount. Either go to Tim Hortons for breakfast or use the included Applebee's breakfast from a meal voucher from your hotel. Can't wait to visit in the summer.

Beautiful Falls! We took the behind the falls tour. It is priced at a very reasonable rate. The lower deck was closed due to weather, however, you do get to view the falls up close and personable through an opened window and opened area. You can feel the power of the falls vibrating the walls of the tunnels. The water is a beautiful color that is due to the minerals that are in it. Make sure to bring your camera for great photo opportunities. There were a lot of people on the day we visited but we were still able to go through in a short period of time so it is not an all day event.

We stayed within walking distance and walked to and around the falls twice while we were there. Being the second week of January ,the was no crowd to speak of. The falls/river were not iced over but all the fencing around was coated. It was an 8 hour drive from vermont but it is worth the drive, espically with the lights on at night so pretty,so powerful!!

My wife and myself live in Brampton about 1 hour and 20 minutes away from the falls and we often visit the falls as we enjoy the walk along Niagara Parkway watching the American and Canadian Falls.

When you get along the Canadian Falls you often get a nice mist that keeps you cool and slightly wet, which is amazing on a Hot Day. You simply can never get bored of the falls... well if you stay for more than 3 days you might as you seen it to many times day after day lol! 2 days max is good.

If you want to pay for premium food restaurants and want the experience than Clifton Hills and Victoria Ave will give you that. Just come knowing your budget will need to be a few hundred dollars per day for 2 people.

If you want a discount trip with experience I recommend the restaurants and outlets down Lundy’s Lane past on or after Drummond Rd. That will save you a few hundred dollars.

I also recommend a trip to Niagara on The Lake... a good intersection is Queen St and King St. If you google it you will find it. Spectacular views and shops here. Great place to hang out if you stay for a few days.

Cheers!

I went during covid times, so all business along the Falls were closed.
If you go while still there is daylight, you can see the birds swaying in the wind. At night, they become shining particles, burning on and off.

Unforgettable the first time that you saw the falls at night, the brilliance of
the lightning and the colorful haze sync to create an atmospheric place to breathe.

Absolute must for everyone. I think these falls are one of the most beautiful sights in the whole country. Go early morning at sunrise, when the air is so fresh and the area is not crowded yet. Make sure to take a boat ride into the falls, and heads up for starbucks goers, the prices are quite a bit higher than locations outside falls area.

The tumble of the water over the falls was mesmerizing. Part of me had to resist the urge to leap over the lip along with all that water. The view is free and open to the public, but if you want to park nearby, prepare to pay a premium. If you are OK with walking a bit, it gets cheaper further away.

Visited recently at the beginning of January 2020 and even though it was cold we wrapped up warm. The views and falls are stunning I’ve been here on several occasions and always enjoy my stay. Lots of nice places to eat and loads of activities and attractions I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
