The 2021-22 women's college basketball season is nearing its end with only a couple of weeks remaining. With conference tournaments right around the corner, we're beginning to get a clearer picture of who could be winning a national title this season.

According to Caesars Sportsbook, South Carolina currently is being viewed as the favorite at +200 odds. In addition, Connecticut is right behind South Carolina with the second-highest odds at +325. South Carolina has put together an incredibly impressive campaign this season with a 25-1 record. The only blemish on South Carolina's record is a 70-69 overtime loss at the hands of Missouri back on Dec. 30.

South Carolina's spectacular season comes one year after reaching the Final Four in the 2021 NCAA Tournament, where they ultimately lost to 66-65 to eventual national champion Stanford.

Meanwhile, UConn continues to showcase themselves as one of the most dominant programs in the women's college basketball landscape. The Huskies are currently ranked No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, but their postseason resume speaks for itself. UConn has won 11 national titles under legendary head coach Geno Auriemma. In addition, the Huskies have reached the Final Four in each of the past two NCAA Tournaments in 2019 and 2021 after the 2020 installment was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following South Carolina and UConn, reigning national champion Stanford (+600), North Carolina State (+1000), and Maryland (+1200) have the longest best odds of winning it all.

Of course, 68 teams will qualify for the NCAA Tournament and the conference tournaments will go a long way towards helping to decide the field. Below are the full betting odds for the tournament:
