Fun and dinamic workplace

Everyday was different, i love the way they are organized, always with excellence and the best guest service. The pay was pretty fair to be honest. And the tips always were good. I learned a lot about customer service, and had mant good experiences

Bad pay, not good management

It's a good place to gain some experience in hospitality, but you will not make a good money, except if you are a hot chick, because the most managers are feminists and they can put people they like on better positions. Better skip than regret later.

a place to learn

I was a intern in Naples Bay Resort for a year. I learned so many things and I met with amazing people! A place to make money and have fun at the same time!!!

Solid gig but management is a complete mess.

The pay and hours are nice. However, the kitchen is not clean the walk in is abysmal. You will NEVER get help from the head chef if you are in a pinch trying to push tickets. All of the managers think they can ask the kitchen to do whatever they want. Working the hardest on the entire property with little to show for it..

Busy hotel

Naples Bay Resort was a busy hotel. You wear different hats and you learned a lot which is a great value. Great team work! There is a lot of property to walk and they don't offer transportation.

Awful Culture

I worked at Naples Bay resort for a good period of time and at first everything was great. Eventually, the upper management starts to treat you like a dog though. I put in more hours than anyone I worked with in my area, never got a raise, was always expected to do more than what was in the job description, and felt like I was in high school again due to the constant drama. The pay is actually decent if you don’t mind being treated like a second class citizen, but the drama will push you over the edge and drain you daily. The business operates to make money and nothing else. They could care less about the customers experience, as long as they get paid at the end of the day.

In need of stable management

In one year that i stayed as intern in Naples Bay Resort I had chance to meet and connect with lot of coworkers that are really friendly. Unfortunately management change seems to be very frequent.

had a coffee pot in the office

Very fast pace Posting had to be done by midnight, Paperwork had to be done by 2am.. After running reports. filing, and mailing we started on spreadsheets. Tried to be done by 7am. When things worked out meaning when everything worked and ran properly in the computer it was nice, but most of the time there was always some kind problem but it did get fixed.Lots of phone calls. It was just done the road from where I lived. What a treat. I loved it. This audit was different but I did get the hang of. I was lucky that i did get good at the job because the full time night auditor ws going to school so I got some extra nights from her. For a part time job I always could use some more hours.

High End, Professional Workplace

The work was constant, without being overwhelming. I enhanced my ability to communicate well with guests. The workplace had a friendly ora about the property.

Insuring guest experience and equipment was in good condition, working normall, trouble free and respond with urgency!

Responsibilities were to manage, train and staff Engineering Department (staff of 6), Security Department (staff of 5), manage 97 slip Marina facility and marina leasing, with fuel delivery system, floating and fixed docks with water and electric, manage and oversee 24 boat Rental business with staff of 7, and managed all resort and boat rental IT issues with remote corporate IT assistance. Most days were a constant rotation of department visits to address issues per department, insure staff knew or had direction to resolve equipment, guest and/or personnel issues as might be necessary. These brief meetings would repeat as necessary throughout each day with hands on assistance to diagnose, or evaluate problems. Special resort projects would take some president and require additional coordination, tracking and supervision such as exterior building repainting, landscaping, HVAC repairs, roof leaks, pool or fountain equipment, WiFi, staff computers and printers...etc. No end to the unexpected boat engine break down, water or sprinkler leak, commercial laundry equipment failure, or guest room appliance, HVAC diagnostic, guest accidents or disruptions.... Also participated as active elected board member on at least 5 association boards.

Work was always different unexpected at times and always a challenge.

Cons

Hours required to keep the entire bundle on track were excessive, but there were reasons I was asked to carry this by the owner.

Being polite and courteous at all times. Manager is always willing to help both customers and employees in order to achieve the best results. Co-workers are all friendly and hard-working.
