The Best Movies To Stream Before They Disappear From Amazon Prime At The End Of February

This article is more than 3 years old.

In just a little over one week, a cavalcade of movies will flood onto Amazon Prime. Each new month promises dozens of new flicks to choose from, and next month’s lineup is pretty stellar.

Unfortunately, “in with the new” also means “out with the old.” On March 1, a number of movies will also exit the Amazon platform, which means you only have a few more days to check out the best options.

And hopefully this article can help you decide which ones to watch. I’ll highlight a few of the best options available. Then at the end of the article, you can find a full list of the movies leaving Amazon Prime after the last day of February.

The King’s Speech (2010)

The King’s Speech really cleaned up at the Academy Awards ceremony back in 2011, with Tom Hooper taking home Best Director and Colin Firth winning Best Actor. Oh yeah, and we can’t forget about The King’s Speech’s Best Picture win. This feel-good movie holds up to this day.

Peggy Sue Got Married (1986)

One of Francis Ford Coppola’s most overlooked films features an onslaught of great performances from the likes of Kathleen Turner, Nicolas Cage, Jim Carrey and Joan Allen. This is one of the most fantastical takes on the coming-of-age story that you’re likely to see.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)

Sometimes all a comedy needs to do is take that extra step. And that’s exactly what Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle did back in 2004 as it unabashedly pursued the most ludicrous quest you can think of (two stoners who need to eat dinner at White Castle) and turned it into comedy gold.

Salt (2010)

Pretty much every time Angelina Jolie has taken the helm on an action film, she’s delivered with flying colors. And you can add Salt to that list of films, as Jolie absolutely soars in this mystery film where she plays a CIA officer who must suddenly go on the run.

Lost in Translation (2003)

Ah, one of the best! Lost in Translation, to this day, remains the shining moment of Sofia Coppola’s incredible filmography. Bill Murray turns in one of the finest performances of all time in this romantic ode to lonely people looking for a special connection.
