How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This is broken up into about a half dozen skits featuring some VERY big-name "A" actors. The first skit, will floor you!! Trust me.. Gentlemans.. It's just that style of Comedy that all us guys with Girlfriends know, the ladies generally don't relate to very well. Maybe some will. If I'm being brutally honest, it's that Frat-boy style Comedy that tends to lend itself a bit better to the male population (I.e. - viewers of Family Guy).

This 2013 film contains a number of sketches whose only connection is that they are being pitched to a studio guy as a movie by a hard-sell character played by Dennis Quaid. Don’t try to figure out the meaning of the title “Movie 43”, there is none.
There are no spoilers if I simply list the title of the sketches. You will not be able to figure out the content of the sketch from the title and there is no way that I will reveal that content. My main aim is to let you in on the extensive list of A-list actors appearing in this film.
Sketch 1: “The Catch”: Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman
Sketch 2: “Home Schooled”: Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts
Sketch 3 “The Proposition”: Anna Faris
Sketch 4 “Veronica”: Emma Stone
Sketch 5 “iBabe”: Richard Gere, Kate Bosworth
Sketch 6 “Superhero Speed Dating”: Kristen Bell, Uma Thurman
Sketch 7 “Machine Kids”
Sketch 8 “Middle School Date”: Chloe Grace Moretz
Sketch 9 “Tampax”
Sketch 10 “Happy Birthday”
Sketch 11 “Truth or Dare”: Halle Berry
Sketch 12 “Victory’s Glory”: Terence Howard
Sketch 13 “Beezel”: Elizabeth Banks
Before you decide, looking at that list of A-listers, that you could not possibly go wrong buying this movie, think again. This is an intentionally gross-out movie intended for an audience that might enjoy, on occasion, as I did, an intentionally gross-out movie. The title “Tampax” of Sketch #9 (although the second-tamest of them all) is the only title that gives you a hint of the subject matter. One sketch should have a rating of “inverse PG13”, i.e., it could only be funny to (a subset of) adolescents under 13. The “Roger Ebert” review by Richard Roeper bears the title “There is lousy, there’s excremental and then there’s … this motion picture”. His review contains the memorable sentence “This movie is the Citizen Kane of awful”.
I need not go further. If you are strictly politically correct, forget it. There is also an excellent review from an Amazon buyer who names himself Gregory R. Collins and his review “Strap yourself in”. Read it. His five stars as well as mine address the question “If this movie was intended to be offensive to most people, how well did it succeed?”. Answer: *****. If you are not a moralistic crusader, you might relax and enjoy the film’s awfulness as I did and as the A-listers must have, as they helped make this film. Otherwise, just ignore.

To be honest, I would rate it at 4 stars but I have to try to offset all of the single stars so that this gem (in the rough, to be sure) does not go unnoticed. I rarely write reviews but, since their purpose is to provide descriptive commentary of a product (as well as personal opinions), I felt the need to do so here because I think that the description provided is not sufficient and will cause some viewers to be offended. That is to say, this movie is not for everyone. And, while the meager description may add to the shock value of the movie, it will likely only serve to decrease the movie's rating in an unfair (or undesired, at least) manner.
I think that the content this movie was created (or inspired) by some collection of actors who were losing their minds with the spoon-fed crapola that permeates the mainstream film industry and just wanted to loosen their collars a bit. It could (and maybe should, to be honest) be legitimately described as offensive, but not in an offending manner. This movie is obviously not for young ones.
This is a collection of short stories (sort of). Funny short stories. Funny short stories with uncommon subject matter. That’s all I have to say about that. I certainly wouldn’t want to ruin it for you. To say that this movie is pointless and has only comedic value is an insult, regardless of the judge. Its message is not subtle but still might be hard to hear over the deafening roar of the material.
This isn’t a movie for sissies. It is definitely a comedy and is awesomely funny.
However, if you consider yourself a spiritual person, you will hate it. If you consider yourself a mature person, you will hate it. If you consider yourself a person with sophistication, you will hate it. If you …. . Well, you get the idea. If not, let me put it this way: if you take comfort by living in a secure and proper fashion, it is likely that this movie will reach down, bite you in the ass and use your face to smash down the boundaries of your sensibilities and it won’t be pretty.
If you are the type of person I described above, please do yourself and others a favor and give this movie a pass (just look at all of the 1-star ratings). There is nothing wrong in you being who you are, but if you are as such and you watch this then you will likely feel the need to waste your (and other’s) time by writing a hateful rail against the ‘villainous’ content of this film and your wasted money and your wasted two hours, etc. Don’t go away mad, just go away. You’ve been warned.
If you decide to take the plunge, just relax and let it do its thing. If you are uptight in the least then this film will own you.

Ce film à squetches est drôle, provoquant et déjanté. De plus, chapelet de stars y a participé, dans un esprit très "buddy movies". En prime, le bonus du bluray vous donne l'occaze de le revoir version "movie 43".
