Ivan Kudryavtsev, program director of the 46th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF), reports on more than 30 world premieres featured at the festival this year. He mentioned this in an interview TASS.
“This year we will screen more than 30 world premieres. By comparison, there were 26 of them in the past; among them are “Forest Tsar”, “Seven Black Papers”, “Unloved Girl”, “Alien” Kudryavtsev. He added that each of the films is unique in terms of genre and content. Kudryavtsev also expressed confidence that the selected films will meet the expectations of a wide audience.
Goran Radovanovic’s film “The Jungle King” tells the story of an eight-year-old boy who was evacuated due to NATO bombing in 1999. The leading role in the movie is actor Milos Bikovic.
Anatoly Koliev’s “Seven Black Papers” tells the story of two brothers waiting for their father to return from the front during World War II.
Ivan Sosnin’s film “Alien” represents Russia in the main competition of the festival, telling the story of ordinary peasants.
Stanislav Sorokin’s documentary film “Unloved” is dedicated to the popular Russian artist Niletto.
The 46th Moscow International Film Festival will be held between 19-26 April. The first festival took place in 1935, and since 1999 MIFF has been held annually. Nikita Mikhalkov is the president of the film festival.
Previously star of the movie “Wandering Around Moscow” stated about the impossibility of remaking the film.
