The rooms are newly remodeled and they look absolutely beautiful and if that’s not a reason to stay, the owners and staff are so kind and efficient! They go above and beyond to make your stay what it should be, a vacation! They accommodate for all your needs if you want to stay a day or a week. They’re located right by a mall for your shopping needs, a grocery store for your food needs and so much more. My stay was really something to remember.
The James Motel was a great choice for our shopping weekend. Very convenient to Woodbury Common Outlets, and easy access into Manhattan. Quiet location, fresh towels, and clean bedding. Large room was airy and bright.
We stayed at this motel for one night after a visit to the outlet mall. We arrived with mixed feelings after having read some of the previous reviews but were pleasantly surprised. The owners are super friendly and helpful, room was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed.
Yes, it's not a shiny, five-star hotel, but they don't claim to be (and don't charge that either), and it's very nice what they have done to the place.
The dinner recommendation given to us was great as well.

Very wonderful place to stay. I was waiting for my apartment to get ready and needed a few months in between. The owners allowed me to bring my dog my car and my motorcycle. The owners are very wonderful people and I would recommend anyone in the area should stay at James Motel
I had to stay for a month because I was waiting for my apartment to get ready for move in. The people that run this motel, Ravi and MJ are very nice and I felt comfortable and at home. They allowed me to bring my dog to stay, which was very important for me. My boyfriend and I have 2 cars and 2 motorcycles and they had no problem with us parking there for the entire month. I had a very good experience. The rooms were very clean, they have Wi-Fi and cable, and the bed was comfortable. My sister also stayed in another room for a week when she came up to visit from FL. Price is very affordable!
We are kind of regulars at the James Hotel as my husband and I own a catering business that sometimes requires us to stay in the area overnight. It is conveniently located, clean and inexpensive.The new owners are extremely welcoming and are truly working hard to make constant repairs and upgrades to the hotel that was once in terrible shape by previous owners. It's not the Hyatt or Holiday Inn...at a third of the cost of those hotels it should not be compared. It is however, a clean place to lay your head with all the room amenities that other hotels offer (coffee maker, microwave, new furniture, blow dryer, shampoo etc.). This is the kind of place I root for! Mom and Pop, working hard to make something great, and we are always happy to give them our business.
