Host of the very first Academy Awards in 1929, The Hollywood Roosevelt reigns as one of the most iconic hotels in America. Step over the Walk of Fame to enter the glamorous lobby — a temple to the Golden Age of Hollywood, with marble columns, a tiered fountain, a dramatic chandelier, and a stunning painted ceiling — and you're in the L.A. hideaway where Marilyn, Charlie Chaplin, and Clark Gable felt perfectly at home. Impeccably presented guestrooms and suites pay homage to the stars of yesteryear while entertaining the biggest names of today.
With some quarters named after Hollywood's biggest stars, the 299 guestrooms and suites are in The Tower — where you can stay in the three-floor penthouse Gable and Lombard called home, or the Spanish-inspired Roosevelt top-floor penthouse — and The Cabana, poolside. The Cabana's suites have private balconies and direct access to the iconic Tropicana pool with its Hockney mural. Decorated in a neutral palette, each guestroom allows its chrome furnishings, vintage Eames chairs, dark hardwood floors, and the best of 21st-century luxury to be the star.
After fixing a cocktail at your own wet bar, explore the 24-hour room-service menu or arrange for a Hollywood Picnic Grab-N-Go of cheese, charcuterie, popcorn, pretzels, and other goodies to complete your VIP status for your evening at the Hollywood Bowl. Peruse the eclectic range of happenings at the hotel and get carried away on a hedonistic Hollywood journey.
From 24-hour burgers grilled to perfection to indulgent breakfasts by the pool and cocktails in the speakeasy, the library, and alongside a bowling alley, you have myriad ways to treat yourself to a taste of Hollywood life.
As a guest, you have poolside-bed rights, an honor you share with elegant Tropicana Seasonal Pass Holders only. With the hotel's full schedule of eclectic entertainment, you could spend the entire stay here — people-watching, floating on inflatables, or taking in whatever event happens. For tabletop games and vintage bowling over easy conversation, The Spare Room is a fantastic place to spend the evening.
The world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame is outside the front door — a smorgasbord of fame at your feet. Check out the Picassos at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, take a selfie under the iconic Hollywood sign, or go hiking in nearby Runyon Canyon Park for panoramic views of Downtown LA and the occasional celebrity sighting.
Across from Hollywood's Walk of Fame, The Hollywood Roosevelt is ideal whether you’re in Los Angeles on vacation or in the City of Angels to broker movie deals. Just minutes from the hotel are popular restaurants, trendy bars, designer boutiques, and uber-chic West Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

We enjoyed our stay at the Roosevelt and found it a great location as we were attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl. Someone who stood out in our experience was Mark, the Bellmen Captain who not only handled our bags but was a friendly face throughout our trip. Mark made some great recommendations for meals and other activities that made the trip fun. He was the nicest hotel employee we met during our stay. Excellent service!

Richard, one of the security guards gave us a great tour of the whole hotel. We had no idea there were so many hidden gems here. He was able to show us the Blossom Room (first ever academy awards room), the rooftop, one of the brand new penthouse suites, a little theater hidden behind bookshelves, and the Teddy which is one of the most popular celebrity nightclubs. He was very friendly and a great tour guide. He was even kind enough to take a bunch of photos in my group without us even asking! We love RICHARD!!!!!! Overall, my stay here was great. I came for a conference in West Hollywood and this was a very cool place to stay. I only gave 4/5 starts just because our TV did not work and the shower would fill up very quickly because the drain must have been clogged. Besides that, everything was awesome.

Nice hotel. Both bars not so great. Ordered Bloody Mary at 11:30 am. Lobby bar did not have mix and directed me to the grille bar. Pre mix tomato juice and that’s it, no Worcestershire sauce, celery salt had to ask for Tabasco sauce. Used table salt to rim the glass. Garnished with one olive one lime wedge and one lemon wedge. Had it remade without table salt and took it to the lobby bar. Kind enough to salt a new glass and once again used table salt. Garnished with three of the tiniest olives I’ve ever seen. All of that for $21.92 which included their mandatory 18% tip.

The security guard Richard was really nice. He showed us around the hotel and a few closed off rooms. We also got to go to the rooftop of the hotel. 5 star rating for Richard!!! Things that can be improved: - all the snacks in room cost a lot - no dresser in room - bathroom door wouldn’t lock - the gym membership cost extra Richard’s tour made the experience great though:)
