The official full-length trailer has been released for "Prey," the latest installment in the "Predator" franchise.

Native American actress Amber Midthunder (from the CW series "Roswell, New Mexico") stars in this new "Predator" entry, which is taking place 300 years in the past. She plays Naru, a young Comanche warrior who finds herself going up against a trophy-seeking and deadly extraterrestrial "predator" who has just arrived on Earth.

In addition to Midthunder, the cast is mostly made up of young Native American and Indigenous actors including newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home), and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal).

"Prey" is helmed by Dan Trachtenberg, the director of the acclaimed sci-fi thriller "10 Cloverfield Lane." Trachtenberg is also known for helming the pilot episode of Amazon's hit superhero satire "The Boys." Meanwhile, television writer Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan, Treadstone, Wayward Pines) wrote the screenplay for this new "Predator" installment.

"Prey" is being released exclusively on Hulu beginning on August 5th.

synopsis:
Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, PREY is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
