“I was like, ‘If I’m gonna go, I’m gonna nail it,'” he told Page Six on Wednesday night. “Especially this year with that [‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’] theme. I was on a TV show that was camp; when I was a kid, camp was my jam.”

The “Ugly Betty” star, 38, wowed at fashion’s biggest night last Sunday with a half-tuxedo, half-gown ensemble designed by Christian Siriano.

Chatting at the Paley Honors that celebrated stars of the LGBTQ+ community, along with commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, Uri opted for a whole pink suit this time around but gushed over the designer of his show-stopping Met Gala look.

“Christian Siriano is a genius,” he said.

“And his staff and he made it so impeccably, that it was comfortable,” Urie added. “I had a high heel that was the same height as a Doc boot, it was brilliant, and I could pee!”

Although he admitted walking around with a train was the hard part of the evening.

“I had never had a train before, and I had to practice, walking up and down stairs and posing,” he recalled.

Once inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the actor told us the evening was “fascinating.”
