WWE has shaken up the commentary teams for their weekly shows. Recently, the legendary commentator, Michael Cole shed light upon certain someone he would love to pass the torch to.

Cole sat down with Awful Announcing and shared his thoughts about Corey Graves taking the charge all on his own as the voice lead on SmackDown. He was proud of Graves and believes success will surely follow him at the blue brand. Moreover, he stated how WWE was struggling with the lead voice for Monday Night Raw. WWE gave chances to Kevin Patrick, Jimmy Smith, and more, but none could create the magic they wanted.

Furthermore, Michael stated how nobody ever thought about Corey being a lead voice. He claims the 40-year-old was a natural in this game and was an avid learner, started being an analyst, and quickly became a play-by-play match observing commentator. Moreover, he added that the former wrestler has always been passionate and became an exceptionally good commentator.

In the world of wrestling, getting praised by a veteran proves a lot about someone’s credibility. Not only in the ring but outside as well. Michael is a veteran commentator and has been with the WWE for almost three decades now. He has joined WWE’s flagship Raw as the lead voice with Pat McAfee, who returned to Raw in January as a full-time commentator.

Due to his reputation getting tarnished and the unfortunate allegations, Vince resigned from his post and left the WWE for good. The 55-year-old commentator explained how working under Triple H’s leadership allows them more convenience. He added, that WWE has put their trust in the commentators and allows them to be themselves. There is no continuos monitoring from the higher-ups and they are allowed to be naturals in their work.

Recently, the journalist’s longtime wish came true live on Raw. Michael openly expressed his obsession with the antlers that The Viking Raiders’ Valhalla sports during her entrance. Last week on Raw, Valhalla approached Cole, hopped on the commentator’s desk, and placed the antlers on his head. He received a massive reception from the WWE Universe and loud “Michael” chants erupted.
