'I'm back!' The O.C. star Mischa Barton reveals she's 'seeking acting roles' as she returns to MTV reality reboot The Hills: New Beginnings
The O.C. star Mischa Barton is appearing on MTV reality reboot The Hills: New Beginnings.
And as the former teen star prepares to return to television screens on the famed reality show this week, she has candidly confessed to 'seeking acting roles'.
Speaking to Stellar magazine on Sunday, the 33-year-old actress explained: 'The industry in LA (Los Angeles) is a very tricky place, but this is my forté.'

'The aim now is to turn down the stuff I don’t want to be doing — and to really look at the things that are right. I've got a new team around me and I’m back seeking acting roles that are appropriate,' she said.
Mischa rose to fame in the early 2000s on The O.C., a splashy teen drama about Southern Californian rich kids that inspired a whole genre of reality show rip-offs.
She has also starred in a wide variety of movies including Notting Hill, St. Trinian’s, The Sixth Sense and Homecoming.

'Not saying anything!' Mischa (pictured) shut down a question about 'hooking up' with Justin Bobby on The Hills during an interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show last week
Just last week, Mischa hinted that she could have a romantic storyline with The Hill's lovable 'bad boy' Justin Bobby.
However, she shut down a question about whether she 'ended up' with Justin during an Australian radio interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
When asked about Justin, Mischa chose her words carefully, saying: 'He is so easy to deal with...'
'Has he changed?' host Jackie 'O' Henderson then asked. 'Because back in the day he was not a good guy!'
Mischa responded by saying fans will have to watch The Hills on MTV to find out.

'Oh God... don't tell me you hook up with him, Mischa?' asked radio host Kyle Sandilands.
But Mischa wasn't giving any spoilers away, leading Jackie to say: 'Oh well, she's not saying anything!'
Elsewhere in the interview, Mischa revealed she had never even watched The Hills before being cast for its remake.
Mystery solved! Elsewhere in the interview, Mischa confirmed that much of her character's designer wardrobe on The O.C. was actually 'fake' - at least for the show's first season
'I never watched it, [but] I've known the guys for a long time. I've seen them around at parties and events and stuff,' she said.
She also spoke about her famous role as Marissa Cooper on U.S. teen drama The O.C. back in the 2000s.
Mischa confirmed that much of her character's designer wardrobe was actually 'fake' - at least for the show's first season.
She was asked about claims made by The O.C.'s former costume designer that Marissa's Chanel bags were actually cheap counterfeits.
Responding to the allegation, Mischa said: 'I don't know who started that rumour, but Chanel were throwing stuff at us by the second season.
'We had carte blanche with whatever we wanted with them.'
She did acknowledge, however, that the designer clothes and accessories featured in the first season may have been fakes.

'The first season [may have been] more fake,' she said.
Marissa Cooper would famously bring her statement Chanel handbag to high school during season one of The O.C.
This gesture helped establish her as the show's resident 'rich girl' in the affluent Californian community of Orange County.
The Hills: New Beginnings premieres on Monday, June 24 on MTV, with returning castmembers Heidi Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port.
