LAST TIME OUT/NEXT UP
The Bears are coming off a 78-68 win against Bucknell at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya yesterday. Four players reached double-digits in scoring with Alvarez (22), both Johnson (14) and Robertson (14), and Haase (13). The Bears were quick on defense, recording nine steals. Felipe Haase recorded his second double-double of the 2021-2022 season. The Orange & Black also shot 90% at the line as a team and converted 11 made three-pointers. Alvarez, Haase, and Johnson have combined to account for 64 percent of Mercer's scoring this season. Mercer is currently 4-6 against MTSU and looks to add one more to the win column today.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bears and Blue Raiders are set at 4-6 in the series with Middle Tennessee on top.

SCOUTING THE BLUE RAIDERS
The Blue Raiders are led by Nick McDevitt and is 4-1 in his fourth season. It was his leadership and a second-half resilient effort that helped Middle Tennessee (4-1) overcome a cold first half yesterday against Rider (2-4) to eventually earn their 60-54 victory. Middle Tennessee held Rider to just 21 points in the second half, the fewest it had allowed in any half all season. Rider was 7-for-23 from the floor and 1-for-6 from deep while turning the ball over 11 times. The Blue Raiders out-rebounded the Broncs 22-11 in the second half. Knowing their defensive presence, the Bears will look to move the ball both effectively and intelligently.
