During their next trip, the Sussex royal couple Prince Harry, and Meghan Duchess of Sussex will be going somewhere closer to home for the Duchess, they would be paying a visit to somewhere Meghan has some ancestry; Nigeria. Reports indicate that the Nigerian Chief of Defense Staff invited Meghan Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry to visit the nation in May. This would mark a return for the royal couple to Africa, given their visits to other regions on the continent years prior.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Duchess of Sussex , have traveled around Africa several times in recent years, specifically in 2019 during their official Africa tour.

Their visits to various African nations have garnered significant attention, not just for their celebrity status but also for the profound impact they have had on local communities and global perceptions.

With that said here are 5 African countries the royal couple have visited.

For his third date with Meghan Duchess of Sussex , Prince Harry took the duchess to the beautiful country of Botswana, with local sources stating that the couple slept at the bush retreat Meno a Kwena, which Harry had visited for over a decade. This happened during the summer of 2016 when they spent 5 days in Botswana strengthening their relationship.

in 2019, the royal couple kicked off a 10-day tour of Southern Africa, with their newborn Archie, it was the first official Sussex family tour. Some of the issues addressed during the tour included women's empowerment, wildlife preservation, and climate change. During this tour, they visited Malawi

According to NBC, in 2019, Prince Harry visited a hamlet in Angola, southern Africa, that is now free of land mines as a result of a 22-year-old campaign of Diana, Princess of Wales, his mother. He was there to raise awareness of the dangers of landmines, just like his mother 20 years prior.

As part of a 10-day Africa tour in 2019, the royal couple visited a town in South Africa known as the murder capital of South Africa. There they connected with the people and their cultures while also trying to shed light on the harm crime is causing the region and female empowerment.

A report by Simon Anderson revealed that in April 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, were greeted with a guard of honor as they arrived at Casablanca Airport for a three-day visit to Morocco. Upon arrival, they were presented 'the greatest dates in the world', a Moroccan delicacy.
